I really like the look of that. I am not a fan of dates on watches and I feel so many watch dials are ruined by including one where it is not needed.

To be fair , dates are very handy on watches but I agree with you regarding this one. I really think this watch would be spoilt with a date.

Well it looks like someone at A Blog to Watch got a copy of Adobe Illustrator for their birthday.

gotta say I do like those, a date is no good to me, I cant see the bloody thing

Have wondered why watch makers didn't offer a gmt no date! Assuming (incorrectly probably) that a date function could be switched to a gmt easily.

I doubt it would be a "true" GMT movement though, which would put a stop to me considering it.

I like the Black Black Bay GMT & it's simple no-date dial.

I'd presume that a date function would be handy if travelling across different time zones?
The furthest I go these days is Dorset so maybe I'm wrong!

I would buy that in either GMT or standard configuration!

Change that yellow Tudor logo to white and the GMT hand from yellow to blue and we have a winner ;-)

That "poor man's" thing is just so boring. If that watch were made it would be out of the price range of most people so how can it be a poor man's option?

OP - those images are stunning and I would definitely love to see them made although I wouldn't be able to afford one as I'm a (financially) poor man you see.

    Thanks for sharing.

Synaptyx has a great eye for design detail and colour combinations. Also does great custom dial designs if you need something unique or bespoke for a build or project look him up :-)

Currently working with him on a project elsewhere and his work is superb.

It's a poor man's option because it costs less than the original it is imitating. It does not necessarily mean it's cheap, just less expensive.

Therefore better to say that than insinuate that those who can't afford a £3 - 4k watch are in some way poor.

Yeah i was wondering the same thing (not the Dorset part), a GMT should have a date, perhaps at 6'o clock?
