    Incoming - an Ed White

One owner, with box and original papers
Son selling having got it from his dad.
Appears in almost pristine unworn condition.

Will post pictures when it arrives.

Going to remove the 1035 strap to keep it perfect, so what strap do you reckon would good with it? I quite like the dark side of the moon strap, but expect Omega would charge a hefty wedge for it.

Sounds quite a find. The DSOTM is 21mm lug width, the 105.003 is 19mm. I would personally want wear it on an authentic bracelet or strap for the age of the watch.

Good to have some provenance. What year does the Cal.321 serial number date it to, and what do the papers have as the date of delivery? I'm wondering when the 1035 bracelet was supplied instead of the 7912 or 1501.

Going to order an Archives Extract for it once it arrives.

Photos to follow. Thanks for confirming lug width, might look for a brown leather strap or a NATO

Any JPM, Bulang or Hodinkee strap will suit it to a tee. Or a JB Champion mesh if you can find one.

If the 1035 is in good nick I would be tempted to keep it on.

Or you could always just stick it on a black NATO.

IMO a DSOTM style strap would look silly on an Ed White.

Be sure to post pics and Congratulations!

Good choice but beware of a NATO.

They mark the back of the case which is the last thing you want.

    Looking forward for the pics.

Excellent choice. I have just googled the 'Ed White' and 'AIDM' did a great thread on it in 2013. Worth a look for those that haven't read it.

A clear bit of tape will solve that issue 😀

The wait for the courier is killing me, tracking link shows it's been on the van since 8am

It's a lot of uninsured watch to have in the courier network!

How does a cloth NATO damage a steel watch?

    In one day? It doesn't.

Over a period of months/years - it does. It's not 'cloth', it's Nylon fibre.

Great picture - that's a Nato ruled out then.

It rubs it to create nice shiny buff marks because it's nylon. The only watch on a NATO this hasn't happened to is my Damasko DA47 – testament to the Damasko case hardening process I think.

On a flat casebook you can just put a clear casebook sticker on which prevents it happening.
