Thread: Tyson fury

    Tyson fury

Although I'd love him to beat klitchko ,I think his latest out burst is a bit crazy if he gets beat,I know it's all about selling tickets but to actually say you'll retire, ideally for me I'd like to see him win and then Anthony Joshua knock him clean out,I think AJs in a different league

Joshua is in a different league to the bums he's been fighting.

The best thing about Tyson Fury is his quotes, they are hilarious.

"He's fought small men that are small"
    Ha ha

That he has fought into a position to be a title challenger is a sad indictment on boxing. He should be a UK title holder and no more. I desperately want him to lose, badly and then disappear for good.

What's your predictions,I think klitchko will keep him at arms length and just jab him every round like he usually does and win on points

I agree. Jab central. Although, his jabs are supposedly very powerful. Just can't see Fury getting on the inside were his chance lays.

Watched a few of Fury's fights and there have been a few times that he has been in trouble and that has been with weaker fighters.

He is going to get knocked out by round 5.

  9. #9
I can't see it being very exciting. Is there any way of watching it without paying £16.95? (Sky are charging that for Joshua next week too).

  10. #10
Would love fury to win ( proper character ) but klitch will be a very tough challenge.

I've had a few bets on fury to win on round- 4, 5, 7 and 9.

    Come on fury!!

Can't see it being much of a British celebration other than knowing that most of his family are in Germany tonight and not thieving over here !

I feel I saw a different fight to the judges, however congratulations to the non-punching champion of the world.

    Please fight Anthony Joshua.

Than we can have a boxer holding these cherished belts.

I think Fury is a prat, but deserved the win tonight!!

Do I think he will stay a champ for long?? Not if he fights the other top heavyweights (Wilder, Joshua, etc)

Fair play though. Not a very good boxing fight, but Fury made it very awkward.

And why is that in your view?

I think the sport is moribund, boring and in a terrible place. Neither of the fighters raised the slightest bit of interest with me and as expected it was a bit of a damp squib.

if that satisfies you then fill yer boots chum.

That in itself proves you are not a fan of boxing.

It might actually show that i have an interest that dates to when you were in nappies (and not for pleasure fnar) and have seen the sport change and fracture driven by greed and politics.

not sure how that shows me as not a fan. Do explain?

Perhaps we might continue the conversation when you are slightly more lucid. Its late on a fight night and Im struggling to follow your train of thought. Have a good night.

    Exactly.

He will probably start another bare knuckle thread then call everyone a fanny because they have better things to do than arm wrestle a wimp.

Im not going to engage with this silliness on here Alex. Feel free to pop downstairs to the BP if you want to slap at me although you might find going to bed the more sensible option.

Good Lord, it simply means that Ive been into boxing since you were young. No need to get all aggressive Alex.

I trained in a boxing gym alongside people who fought Spinks and Bruno. That goes back a while.

I'm glad i didn't pay to watch that fight as it was awful. klitschko must has averaged about two punches per round. I hope Fury fights Wilder so the belts can be unified.

So assuming you have watched it in order to make a constructive comment I just wondered why if it is of no interest you have watched it and if of no interest why the opinion on it?

I'm more of a Joshua fan, but well done to Fury. I'm glad I didn't pay to watch as it sounded like it was more exciting on the radio.
