    Thanks. I use a Zeiss 100mm macro lens on my Nikon D700.

    Superb shot - do you reckon the Zeiss is better than the 105mm micro-nikkor - which I find razor sharp?

    It's a little sharper than the Nikon 105mm and the chromatic aberration is close to zero. But it's manual
    without AF so the 105mm can be more handy.

    That Ziess is one of there best , unfortualtly somewhat more expensive both new and secoundhand if of course you could find one the Nikon 105 Micro is good but not that good ......

    I have the Nikon 105mm too and that is not bad but as you say this is a step better.
