Ahhhh lovely gift!
i like the venturas. They're pleasingly insane.
Shame about the legibility. Just check yer phone ;)
My other new arrival in the last month. A surprise gift from my wife, a double surprise as she doesn't normally buy me expensive gifts, especially watches :)
A casual look in Ernest Jones obviously stuck in her memory as this appeared on my birthday. Not something I'd really considered but very pleased with it now.
Very comfortable to wear, nice clasp and thick leather bracelet.
Only slight fly in the ointment is... it's generally completely illegible :)
The small hands, silver dial and shiny details mean telling the actual time is something of a lottery. Questions about the time become " its fashionable o'clock or it's half past stylish.. etc :)
But I really like it and can live with the drawbacks!
iPhone reflections included for free :)

Cheers! Can only do that when she's not looking :)
Very distinctive .. I think the Angel Batista character wears one in Dexter.
The design looks slightly different though I think

you're not alone...not sure why someone would buy this piece of metal
It's a cool watch and I owned one a few years ago. Unfortunately, the legibility was an issue for me and so it was moved on within a year or so. Always got a comment, though. Interesting piece if you can live with the flaws.

Well yes and no. ´They´ wore this Ventura and the Pulsar digital one. Their is a véry cool scene when the latter is taken from a safe box where it sits on a bed of Drosera.
Back on topic I congratulate the OP with such a thoughfull partner. If she is not one to have an ulterior motive that is.
I believe Elvis also wore a Ventura.......that makes em cool in my book...:)
I think the Electric Ventura is one of the coolest wathces but Elvis also liked Cadillacs (pink!) so hís tatse in not such a thumbs up.
Wáy cooler is imo that the watch´s designer Richard Arbib had Betty Page as his gf for some time. That is the ultimate taste thumbs up for mé.
I bought a Ventura from this very forum a couple of months ago, Black XL, it is a great watch and very different
I like it...
Who cares if it's illegible? You can use your phone to tell the time!!!
Ps... Take a look at this!
