How does something like this go unnoticed? Surely they wouldn't knowingly let this leave the factory?

Is that mould growing between 12 and 2 or is it 'just' the two "12"'s that's wrong?
The seller is even claiming the two number 12s makes it more desirable to collectors.
Please tell me its not a rare prototype dial.
Hey ! stop complaining 25 HRS in a day whats not to like ........
Just the 12 instead of 10.
I doubt that it makes it more valuable. I could see how a limited run of less obvious errors or quirks could be, but if this is a one-off mistake it's just an embarrassment and one that I think Zenith would have preferred to have kept private.
I'm just curious as to how it could have happened. It would be good for a laugh if it was a cheap Chinese watch, but this is a Zenith with a tag price of $10k.
It's presumably a trick of the photo, but the two hands look different! The hour hand looks gold, but the minute hand looks brown.
The whole thing's surreal. You know it can't be a fake, as a faker would undoubtedly get the numbers right!!!!
Don't worry about it. I'm sure Zenith will sort it out under warranty.
Someone in the Zenith QC department should feel really embarrassed.
If I were the boss I would be pissed off.
Dials like these have been surfacing for a while now, some dodgy sellers call them "prototype dials" we've had spider dials, prototype dials but I think "Ripper dial" has a great ring to it.
I am wondering what Simon would've said, or was it Steve
Oldest trick in the book...It's a subtle distraction from the main problems..
