    Tiger 1016

Tigers 1016 Explorer homage is briefly mentioned in this thread
    http://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.ph...oncept-6538-V4

Looks so good I couldn't resist ordering one

Like the BB V4 its got a real quality feel - better than an Alpha and, dare I say it, a nicer dial than the Zeno......

I went for the black gloss dial version with a DG2813 movement

Not bad for £76 I reckon

Looks good, I've never heard of that make or that movement before. What is the quality like?

By the way, is that a Tudor BB in the background...?

It has a nice heft to it, the case is well finished and the dial / hands good quality. The movement is criticised by some for having a jittery second hand - however this is the 5th watch with this movement Ive owned and Ive never experienced it. They have all performed well and kept good time. For a bit more you can order all the tigers with Miyota 8215 movements.

That's a Tiger BB homage in the background - some pics in the link in my first post

Not many downsides at this price. WR isn't great and lume is poor - that's about it.

Cheers for the pics Ian, looks great on the perlon. I'm going to have to grab one of these now and stick a domed acrylic in it!

That sounds like an excellent plan

Had mine about a month and agree these are really excellent for the money. I got the 8215 which also has the reputation for jittery seconds hand, but I've not noticed any issues and running at +2s/day. The 6538 I have (same dial), also 8215 is running at +1s/day. Not bad for a so-called 'cheap' movement. Beats all my ETAs. My info is that all TCs are made to order and since the Miyota is unregulated from the factory I reckon William must regulate before despatch. We'll see how they go...

I've also been really pleased with the Miyotas. Mine aren't quite as accurate as yours, running at +13 seconds per day and at +9 seconds per day, but they are both consistent and haven't varied at all. You could say I can set my watch by them! In regards to the jittery seconds hand I can notice it stutter briefly if I give the case a good jolt whilst staring directly at the seconds hand, but you really have to look for it (completely unnoticeable on the wrist) and it doesn't effect the timekeeping at all.

Yes, style B. I like to think of it as a 6610 homage. Style C is more of a 1016.

Ive ordered a bracelet from an supplier on Ebay (whom Ive used before) to try it on. I wouldn't order a Tiger one as the two Ive had have been dreadful - impossible to adjust as the pins wouldn't come out.

I'll post a pic when it arrives and is fitted.

It will be considered as a 'small' watch in these times of dinner plate sized wrist clocks

It wear bigger on this TSS Atlas leather strap

And will of course wear bigger still on a bracelet

    Jubilee style bracelet arrived today

End links (hollow) fit quite well and it feels comfy. Not bad for £40 - UK eBay seller.

It was a bugger to resize though - very fiddly and time consuming.

Looks great. I realised all my watches were automatic, no grab & go apart from the Riseman.

Ended up with a citizen 6400, but now want the full Ray version, damn this hobby!

So I went with a Style C matt black with the Miyota 8215. Really pleased with it...

...now to fit the domed acrylic! I'm thinking I might take a crack at re-luming this too, after I've had a little more practise.
