    Vibrating alarms

    Hi guys,

I've the need of a watch that has a vibrating alarm and wondered if anyone had one, if they were any good and most importantly - a nice looking one. I've seen a few on Argos website and they're okay but thought the vast amount of knowledge on TZ would point me in the right direction.

    :]

Edit: is there such a thing as a vibrating alarm analogue?

Might not be what you're after, but I started a thread on mechanical alarm watches a while ago and the members came up with some great options at a lot of different price points.

They are popular among comics and standups, for a long time there was only one budget £20 casio, so about 10 years ago every stand up had one. There are some fancier ones now. Funny enough I was wondering if there was mechanical ones recently, would be nice for those hard of hearing etc but I guess it's not that big a market yet.

Mr Stoat's reply above is a good one.

My contribution is that all mechanical alarms vibrate. The vibration's a by-product of how they work.

Equally, all mechanical alarms are analogue.

(p.s. Here, "all" = 'all the ones I know'. )

You could always go for a Bluetooth G-Shock. Vibrating alarm, call notifications etc etc.

As mentioned, the Russian Poljot alarms vibrate. The Traveler is a handsome watch.

The GD-350 is probably the cheapest vibe alarm watch you can buy, though I'm prepared to be corrected.

Might not be exactly what you want, but the Tudor Heritage Advisor has an alarm feature http://www.tudorwatch.com/en/heritag...sor/#/watch-1/

Not the best looking of timepieces I'll grant you but trust me they vibrate far more vigorously than most!

Just been reading up on the Casio GD 350 and it looks to be a solid performer. I think it would be my ideal G Shock IF it came as a Tough Solar model. Still think I will pick one up.
