That is very nice indeed Mark, love the hand colour, really makes it stand out :-)
Put this one in the new arrival thread, but thought that it deserved it's very own thread.
This won't be to everyone's taste, but I love it
Omega Speedmaster MKII DLC cal.861
Did a trade for this one and thought it looks so funky I just couldn't resist.
The purists are probably going to be sharpening their pitchforks as we speak, but this isn't the usual badly done DLC, it has been done very well, as my crappy pictures just cannot convey.
The original graining can still be seen and the tops of the sides are polished DLC and look perfect.
This was not a mod that I had done, but bought it like it and from the receipt I have for the work carried out, it was eye-wateringly expensive!

Very nice indeed, I've only had one coated watch and never wore it as worried about scratching it
I really like that. If you decide to move it on please drop me a pm.
Purists my.........
This just looks very good, must be a joy to look at that dial every time you need the time.
Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
Really like that, hand colour and all black looks spot on!
Hey Mark, that is really cool and unique. Congratulations !
Looks good to me
I like it, very legible hands/dial combo.
I see it's on a black fabric strap do yo have a bracelet option?
The purists can GTF in my view, that's amazing. Mark 2s are funky watches at the best of times, this one has the funk turned up to 11, and I like it!
From the pics it looks like it could have been OEM - but they are too busy with the ceramic cases to be doing DLC
It's just a matter of time...
I like it a lot. I guess I'm not a purist then!
I absolutely love that watch.
That's a nice looking watch. Never seen one before.
Very nice, I like it.
Looks mint ,love the yellow
I own a Mk 11, who did the work on it, if I may be so bold
Talk about left field ! That looks great !!
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
B******s to the Speedmaster fundamentalists - wear your reduced's, alternate versions or modded ones with pride!
It looks superb!
The yellow on black really makes it pop !
It works for me. Looks very nice.
thats really nice Mark, i do like the contrast between hand colour and the case
Yellow on black is a literally brilliant combination, and the element of familiarity only adds to the attraction. I think it is fabulous.
A great looking watch, the black and yellow makes a striking combo.
Recently decided PVD was not for me...but I love MkII's and that looks stunning!
Love the yellow :-)
That's a really nice, left-field mod - well done!
Great stuff. Mods aren't really my thing, but the yellow is very nice indeed.
Ooooooo loving those lime "high vis" hands, a really unique piece you have there sir!
WOW looks great!!!
Wow. Love that. A shop in town had a Mk11 DLC with the orange racing dial, amazing look to it.
Wow, didn't expect quite the positive response.
Haven't taken it off since receiving it, so that tells me it (might be!) a keeper
Mark
Interesting.Love it.
Who did the dlc coating?
I really like the look of that - the hands totally set it off.
is the coating hard wearing? can it be reversed if needed? sorry for questions but fancying one myself. any more pics of the finish
Lovely looking watch, well may you wear it
