Speedmaster for me !
If you could only have ONE of the above watches ( any variant of each ) which would it be ?
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
Speedmaster for me !
Tough choice, head says AT, heart says Speedy Pro! (obviously went with my head when I had the choice, still tempted by a Speedy though...)
Would a Railmaster 39mm count as an Aqua Terra? if so that would be my choice.
I love my speedy pro but the AT gets so much more wrist time, doubt I will ever get rid of either but I had to choose the AT would stay.
I've had all three. The seamaster got way the most time. So gets my vote. Lots of variations - maybe the new Americas cup version is more current.
Aqua terra for me would get the most wrist time. Such a versatile look
I'm torn because I have the AT and Seamaster Pro, both in blue.
In fact wearing the Pro now, but the AT to me is sheer class.
If only one it will be the AT...........
It's a tough choice.
The AT is the most versatile.
The Speedy is an iconic design.
The POLM is my favourite watch because I associate it with my Dad.
Removing the sentimental attachment, I'd probably keep the Speedy.
Really wouldn't want to have to choose between my Seamaster and speedies but if no choice maybe just the Seamaster ..... or maybe just a Speedy ...... or.........
The Speedmaster is an iconic design that has stood the test of time.
The other two are nice watches but nothing can touch the Speedy.
My wife has an aqua terra,i have had 4 different Seamaster SMP models. I still have 3 SMP's and my favourite is the 2230.50 non-americas cup. For me the Seamaster 2230.50 is my one choice.
Already own a Planet Ocean, so as I'm voting for my second Omega, its gonna have to be the Speedmaster.
Between the two of them, they are the iconic Omega watches........ IMHO.
I love the Speedmaster, I have 3 and plan to get 2 more.
I've owned and flipped a couple of Seamasters, I couldn't get along with the useless HE valve and setting the date every time I wore one was a pain. I do have an SM300 built from parts that I like but it doesn't get worn as often as the Speedmasters. Since the discontinuance of the Railmaster the AT line has nothing that interests me.
I'd have to go with the Aqua Terra GMT, not as iconic as the Speedmaster Pro, but a very nice watch.
I'm tending towards the AT. I know the speedie is an icon etc but I generally don't use chrono functions. The AT is just so clean.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
Difficult.
I've had a few Speedies and sold them all.
I've never thought about selling my 2264 though.
You'll be tempted by the Speedie as it's a more iconic prospect but if you lead an active life, the SMP is probably the better choice.
I've always thought of the Aqua Terra as being the Boxster to the Speedie's and SMP's 911.
In my opinion.

Have owned multiple variants of all three; without wanting to start a brand war here, both the AT and SM are bettered by the Rolex DJ/Exp and the Sub/SD range in my opinion.
The Speedmaster stands apart - an absolute icon. Soyuz Meteorite dial, blue Gemini edition, anniversary Panda, people slag them for making too many special editions but we're spoilt for choice!
AT for me. I tried on a speedy about 4 times. I decided that chronos are just not for me as I prefer a more simple dial without sub dials.
I have the blue 'Skyfall' and love it.

Speedmaster Pro which is why I bought one. An iconic watch and a large part of the appeal for me is that its a timeless classic.
Come on, there is no contest here. It has to be the speedmaster.
The Seamaster is good and strong but the He valve would annoy me I think. So, Aqua Terras (thanks, autocorrect), but an older one without the Monagesque yachty dial. Speedmaster out - too old, too fragile, unless one of the autos.

The Speedmaster for me, Reduced. I love everything about this watch, including its push buttons which I practically never use.
I have to agree with all the Speedmaster comments, however I voted for the Seamaster on the basis of practicality
I have a 2254, 2220, and Speedmaster Pro. I always seem to have to think about what I am doing wearing the Speedy, the other two I never worry about, they take whatever I throw at them..
That said I would never part with the Speedy as it was a 50th birthday present from my wife..
Mark
Speedy by a mile even though I hate watches without a date.
My logic is perhaps flawed, but I reckon that if the speedie can make it to the moon and back it should be OK for daily wear. Apart from swimming that is.
Speedmaster for me, but I would not say no to them all.
I have both a Speedmaster - the 3570.50 acrylic version, and the Seamaster Pro Quartz 2264.
The Speedy is a beauty, and I love wearing it. It's as much a classic as a Double Red Seaweller, but much more accessible / affordable, and very versatile. But I've never worn it for swimming, though I'd wear it in the shower; and as a chronograph with a 30-minute sub register it's pretty legible. But, it's still a long way short in terms of both legibility and usability, or my Lemania 5100 powered Fortis B-42 LE Cosmonaut Chrono, with its centre minute chrono register. It's a classic piece of 1960's engineering, and beautiful with it - a bot like an E-Type Jaguar
OTOH, the SMPQ is one of the most usable watches around; a real "no worries watch". It has great WR, and a smart yet sporty style, so I can wear it anywhere. The dial and hands are very well lumed and the sword hands reflect light very well in low light conditions, so it's as legible as any watch can be. And, it's quartz, which means that (a) it's robust and can cope with being dropped without ill-effect; (b) it has the really useful feature of a quick-set hour hand, allowing one to jump the time backwards or forwards an hour - perfect for travel; and (c) when it needs a service, it shouldn't cost an arm and a leg. It wears well on a NATO, rubber or the bracelet. Great watch; the nearest car equivalent would probably be a Golf GTi or Audi S3 - which will get you where you need to go, with no worries, and rather more reliably than the old E-type.
Of the 3 I own an AT. That's where my vote is going. It's just a simple, elegant and versatile watch. What's not to like?
Having never owned any of these my vote would be the AT, with watches i think less is more and the AT has a certain class about it
I would say the AT. Looks good with everything. The clean look gives it longevity on the wrist IMO.
I have a SMP, and a Speedmaster Reduced, so I voted for Aqua Terra.
If I could find a blue Skyfall 41.5mm, then that would be perfect, but they're like rocking horse poop s-h so I may have to get the newer version which I think is inferior to look at.
Something about Speedmaster Pros that appeal, but I know there are far too many variants and can even pin down which version I like most. This week it is the FOIS version.
IanBear - gah, it does look fantastic.
A speedterraseamaster
Speedmaster for me every time. Probably my favourite ever watch.
seamaster
Don't own any of them but would love a Speedy.
Speedy pro for me.
I'm still on the search for a decent one (with the date/co-axial)
This one for me
