Pre February 1971 to be exact - or did Ireland go decimal later.
I remember going to school and going in a sweet shop on decimal day - didn't have a clue what change we were being given.
Happy days.
I'm well chuffed, just found some NOS triple stitched jeans made in ireland with sanforised cone mills denim . original price tag shows 25 shillings and 11 pence , so must be pre '73. not only are they in perfect condition, but they are a really good fit!
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

Thanks. The wife is always telling me that my head is full of useless shit like this, but somehow i can't remember to do the things that she has asked me to do.
Without googling it, i am guessing 14 Feb 71 - and that is a genuine guess - honest.
Great find though. I remember the old Falmers jeans made in Liverpool. Bovver boys in doc martins used to wear them with donkey jackets - such style !!!
Pics please!
