    Second time round (JLC content)

I sold my Jeager-LeCoultre Master Calendar on here a while back and even started a thread on how I believed it to be one of the biggest watch-related mistakes I'd made. The current owner made it clear (on I think three separate occasions - sorry Art!) that he wasn't going to sell it back to me so I posted a WTB on here and kind of forgot about it.

All changed last week when I was contacted by an owner wanting to move his on, was I interested. Umm, yes, yes I was! He popped by my work today and dropped it off on a custom Camille Fournet strap; despite the fact I have my own Jean Rousseau custom strap (blue with red stitching) for this exact watch, it's stayed on the CF.

No point to make, just really, really happy with it. I am looking at it and genuinely believe it's the best looking watch I have owned. It's just perfect to my eyes.

I prefer this version with the power reserve. It has a more balanced dial, although others prefer the simpler version without PR.

    Now keep hold of it.

    Absolutely stunning.

I was so undecided during my search and opted for the Hometime but one day I really must add one of these.

    Is the reserve hand blue'd??

Absolutely stunning! I can honestly say this is one of the most beautiful watches I've seen on the forum. Well wear!

Nice pick up Lewis, has to be one of the best triple date dials around for balance and aesthetics. Congratulations.

It is, but painted rather than heat-blued, same as the seconds hand.

I had also forgotten the dial is lacquered rather than the more frequent sunburst effect of silver dials. It's on again today, strap really is lovely...

I enjoy the utility of the PR and watchiong the reserve build up through the day but can see the later model is cleaner and why many prefer it. Whichever I had been offered first I would have taken I think.

    Second time round (JLC content)

You seem to be acquiring all my current wish list targets, Lewis?
First the 3536Ti and now this stunner.
They are great looking watches, hang on to it and enjoy!

I don't normally go for moon phase dials, but that's very nice, just shows you never know.

I prefer this version as well, definitely better with the power reserve. Enjoy Lewis!

Thanks Junaid - it's one of very few complications that you can interact with. If I wearhe watch from stopped, I'll usually wind it to the first couple of bars and then take a (sad?) enjoyment from watching the PR increase :)

Seems to be a pattern of wanting back what I sold... sniffing around Radiomirs again now ;)

Nothing wrong with having great taste ;)

The 3536 may be going to the block for a grail (AGAIN!). I love it, I appreciate it, I don't really wear it :(

Sad, probably but hey we're all geeks here! I like calendar watches, I have one in my sights but it will have to wait until later in the year as I want the new Leica (1st world problems...). The best implementation I've seen is the ochs und junior one and having the option to customize is the icing on the cake.

Unfortunately the 190 isn't going anyway, the perfect Rad for me! Also reminds me I still have my 183 I have to get around selling....

Lovely. My favorite JLC Master. Perfect in almost all ways. Size, dial color, dial lay out and the strap goes very well with it. Well done.

Glad to see that you acquired another JLC! It really is a great watch (as you know).

Very lucky, why did you sell it the first place?

The noblest of causes... It went towards a Patek 5205G!

I assumed the Annual Calendar would make the Master Calendar obsolete in my collection, turns out I was wrong...
