    British army watches question

    Hi guys
Sorry I'm still new here and very new to the military watches side but my question is as follows. I know the CWC G10 is the standard issue watch but what spec is the Casio gshock that they are all given for overseas tour? Anyone know the model? Are these higher spec than standard shop gshocks?
Really sorry if this is a stupid question but I have the G10 and am acquiring orders models of that too but want to get my hands on the gshock too

No one is issued G-Shocks, they have to buy them themselves. In fact you literally have to be shagging a stacker to get issued a watch at all. I got issued a Pulsar in 97, but only because I was working with EOD and they seem to be the only people that stores can't say no to, I snagged the elusive Leatherman at the same time. As far as I know the MOD is still issuing the Pulsars and not CWC's.

25 years and counting and I've still never been issued a watch.

Bloody hell you're a sucker for punishment. I got out in 06 after 10 years, still regret it every now and then. Thanks to the then new JPA system I found out I was posted to Marham 3 days after I should of been there. Went to see the Chief clark and he just came out with the classic, "thats life in a blue suit." I PVR'd on the spot lol

The issued watch is a mythical beast existing only in the minds of military enthusiasts. I did 9 years and didn't know there was such a thing.

Lets be honest, you're never going to look ally in a G10, and no one ever had a good enough reason to actually need one.
