I have to agree the lume pip on the bezel is awful!
I have to agree the lume pip on the bezel is awful!
Ouch, I agree.
I also see why the seller is moving it on....."and so this watch is just taking up space". Just how little space does he have if an unboxed rolex is a problem?
"Note, in the description of this watch the movement is stated as 'Quartz: Kinetic', this is a mistake on my part. The watch - as most Rolex's do - is an automatic movement powered by kinetic energy."
The add is so bad he might actually think its genuine.
Not long left, is it worth bidding it high and then reporting it so someone doesn't get stung?
One of the poorest attempts at the engraved rehaut I have seen on a fake. That alone would be enough to put me off. His story about the box makes no sense either. He photographed it with the box and papers but then also bought it without box and papers? Someone is going to get stung and that is a crying shame.
Even I can see that's a Del Boy special. Is there any point reporting these things to eBay?
Oof! Horrible. Going to have to watch the end of the auction to see what it goes for.
Just reading the write up is enough to make it a no no
Or bid on it?
Where are the box and papers though, as they're on the same duvet cover on the first pic and then on the later one.......
Have reported it
The only person getting stung on this watch today is me, with my £6000 bid.
How are people actually bidding on this?
Winner winner chicken dinner. Patrick has been quick to get in touch, thanking me for my bid and looking forward to payment.
I have replied with this line
Hi Patrick, stick your fake sh*** watch up your hole. Kind regards.
Should go down like a lead balloon.
Only over the water from me. Would be nice to pay him a visit.
Excellent work, saves some poor person getting stung
Top man - let us know the outcome, I've wanted to purposely win fake watch auctions previously but wasn't sure if I would be penalised by eBay
I bet he was mega happy when it got to £5700!!
I've done this several times, usually the sale gets cancelled by eBay when they finally get to all the 'reports' by users.
Beats me why anyone would even consider buying a Rolex from a seller with only 4 feedbacks in total - all over the last month. Are people REALLY that stupid?
Lucky escape for whoever was the highest genuine bidder. The dial isn't even straight on that thing leave alone the lume pip and other details.
I said I would like to pay him a visit.
Not that I would.
Given the size of that wasp/hornet on your carpet it could be you!
Good work demonloop, looking forward to hearing Patrick's reply.
I guess the eBay fees will cost him more than the watch did, unless he unwisely wants to follow up a non-paying bidder report.
No doubts it'll be back up for sale soon
Ebay are frikken useless. There was a guy down here selling fakes, as soon as one went he put up another. I reported him four times, eBay didn't stop him.
Any news on this??
Ha! That's the funniest thing I've seen for a while... What a chancer!!
nice work - would love to have the time (nerve/balls) to engage these sellers more and even arrange a meetup and hidden camera type thing or convince them to send you a photo of them holding the watch next to today's newspaper to prove the photos arent fake (even though the watch is)
then post their photos all over the forums
