    Solar Impulse

Decent pictures from the cockpit on the solar impulse project. Never mind the watch :)

Couldn't quite work out what the other watch he was wearing on his right hand is?

Would love to do something like that (record breaking flight rather than double watch wearing!)

That would be the new X-33 Skywalker LE model on the ridiculously overpriced Omega NATO (£125 to you, Sir) - Same as the standard X-33 but for the blue dial and the (very neat) fully lumed bezel:

I guess the X-33 is the watch he actually uses while the other watch is simply worn for advertising purposes.

That's his left hand, I meant the one on his right hand with the orange strap. Maybe a Speedie pro?

I'd think it is Speedy HB-SIA GMT.

Cannot shed much light on the watch, however almost certain that the toothbrush is a Colgate Navigator though it may have been modded or photoshopped.

As part of my day job, I designed some of the cockpit instrumentation used in this aircraft, and periodically corresponded with them on integration issues. They certainly put a lot of man-hours into this project. I should have thought to make an attempt to score some Omega swag!

It sure is. In fact I've got mine on right now as I'm typing this - it's a lovely piece that I just received yesterday, what great timing too!

Really chuffed that he wore it together with the new SI X33!
