    Holiday watch ..............

Yes done to death, but I've decided on mine.
I'm off on my BMW G.S. tomorrow for a 2 week ride around Germany. Taking in Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, France & Luxembourg.

It had to be a G-Shock but which one?
The decision was between a Riseman & a GX56. If I chose the GX56 then black & red or orange!

I've chosen the Riseman, more functions (temperature may come in handy) and easier to display the alternate timezone, dual time not really necessary as home time is only an hour behind.
I could see the altitude function being useful too but for the fact that it needs zeroing everyday! May as well use an iPhone app.

Great choice. The Riseman is my holiday watch also. Very versatile and not as dinner platey as other G Shocks

Yep, Riseman is my everyday wearer, shrugs off knocks, scrapes, dunkings brilliantly. The temp thing only really works off the wrist and yes, the altitude is a little fiddly.

I generally choose a diver as a holiday watch. It's the SMPc this week (whilst sampling micro-brewery fare today in St Petersburg, FL).

I prefer my trusty Rolex Explorer. Gorgeous watch but low profile.
