you could ask linus. but you won't get one for peanuts.
Hi,
Can anyone give me any information on how I could get one of these watches when they are realised later in the year?

Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
I would have thought it's fairly obvious?
1) Speak to an Omega AD and express an interest now to get on the 'we'll call you' list
or
2) Take your chances that you can find one in stock at an AD later this year that isn't already spoken for
Cheers for that!
Already tried my local omega dealer and they said that they have no chance of getting one in, very few number coming to the UK. ????
In which case, wait until it's released and pay well over the odds for it :(
Try a boutique instead, but you'll have to pay full RRP.
I'm picking mine up in 'two to three weeks', I have actually managed to get confirmed delivery on 2 of them - will be interesting to see if there is a crazy secondary market for these in which case I will definitely ride the wave of madness and cash in
UK was allocated 190 and apparently they are all spoken for.
Good luck getting one of those...
I think you will find its called 'casting a wide net', using multiple sources to increase the likelihood of getting a watch. Pretty smart actually. But you feel free to call me what you want if it makes you feel better.
And whilst we are on the subject of name calling, interesting that your profile shows you are based in Palmyra, in Syria. I'd wager you probably aren't actually as you would have to be pretty stupid to broadcast that on a public forum. Which means you are saying it for a joke. Which means you are making light of the situation in Syria. Which means you are considerably worse than the 'knob' you called me, in fact it makes you another four letter word but one that refers to the female anatomy instead (something no doubt most unfamiliar to you) and which rhymes with 'hunt'.

Not getting involved in the name calling but from my experience on here Ryan has picked up some good deals and always sold on here relative to that!
You won't find many members offering a watch for sale below trade in!
You'll find one after release. I was going to pre-order at one point but I'd rather wait until all the hype dies down. I can't imagine they won't be available through Iconic or other grey dealers for less than RRP but time will tell I guess.
Don't people buy investment watches all the time? So what's the issue with selling at a profit? The market will ultimately decide if this LE is worth the the hype, and if it is you won't see a single person offering theirs up at cost that's for sure, forum spirit or not.
...but what do I know; I don't even like watches!
Yeah I still don't get it tbh, if the going rate in the market is £1k above RRP then that's the market rate, profit doesn't even come into it. In fact anyone saying it's wrong is just a cheapo looking to undercut, and that's worse imo.
Being new to collecting watches, looks like I ain't going to get one.
I just don't see your problem. The guy's put his name down for two, and will have to pay for them. There may or may not be a gain to be made if he sells one or both of them, but he had the sense to get his name down and took the risk (remember, they may well NOT increase in value) ir order to be in this position.
And now you think that someone else, who really couldn't be bothered to reserve one, should anyway get to pick one up at RRP if there's a gain in it? Doesn't compute, unless you'd be willing to pay RRP even if the watch went DOWN in value.
Ryan better offer that 2nd Snoopy for free in the spirit of the forum or the usual crowd in the bearpit will tar and feather him.
As an update it looks like I may have 3 (!) (but still to be confirmed). I have contacted a couple of gents (including one on here) who had expressed longstanding interest in the Snoopy to see if they would like to take my place assuming confirmation happens as obviously I have no need for 3.
As for some of the comments - just wow! I presume should I win the lottery I would be expected to immediately give away all the cash!
If I had wanted to profit from the watches that would be my business - as it is I will not as I have very good relationships with the ADs in question which would be greatly tarnished if I ever got involved in openly profiting from these relationships and what this means is that I can indulge my serial flipping whilst minimising losses made when I inevitably get bored of a watch and given the number of watches I go through that is far more important than making a quick grand on a Ltd edition that in reality isn't that limited in the grand scheme of things
I was in Harrods yesterday and asked after the new Snoopy. Apparently they have not allocated any of their watches and do not intend to do so. Delivery is expected in September/October and they'll be sold on the basis of first come, first served. This is in contrast to other new models for which they have already accepted deposits. The advice was to ring (020 7730 1234 x2219 or x2397) nearer the date and expect to pay the full list price, given as £4630.
As I'm only repeating what I was told, please do not blame me if things turn out any differently.
I'm getting 4. All confirmed.
I win :)
Beware of the hype. The same has happened with the Rolex SD deepsea D-blue. People panicing because they can't get one, grey dealers asking at least a £1,000.00 over RRP - absolute madness. I phoned one AD who said for a 25% deposit they could get me one at list price within 12 weeks.
A few cool headed professionals have advised, wait your time and when those who bought one start to flip the price will fall and then is the time to cash in.
I can't guarantee that the Snoopy watch will go the same way, but as an outsider it seems a very similar scenario.
Only time will tell, but as Corporal Jones always says "don't panic".

Yada yada yada profit profit yada yada, frankly I don't give a monkeys arse whether Ryan sells one or ten pre-ordered snoopy's for a humungus profit, but I would prefer he did it on ebay or gumtree, rather than make a mockery of a forum for watch enthusiasts, ya still don't get it do ya.
If you children cannot play nicely i will send you to your rooms - now be nice !!!!
For those who may be panicking on missing out on this cartoon character watch I think I still have my "Hopalong Cassidy" watch somewhere and I'm certain I can get my hands on a "Strawberry Shortcake" digital too.
What the hell are you on about? Are you insane? I'm guessing the dog turned down your sexual advances last night and you are frustrated.
Firstly I have NEVER sold anything for a profit here or indeed anywhere else, with the sole exception of a ND Sub I sold 5 years after buying it after the prices rises had gone crazy, and that was to Watchfinder. Secondly I clearly stated that I wouldn't try and profit on the Speedy anyway due to not wanting to tarnish my relationships with the ADs.
As for 'making a mockery' of this place? Wow, just wow. I'll say no more.
Seriously, it's people like you that are ruining this place. Who the heck do you think you are, with your poorly constructed arguments and pseudo-bullying tactics?
Obviously you have a bee in your bonnet, I imagine you are jealous for some reason or are just bored and trying to add variety to your clearly uneventful existence.
Why don't you try contributing to this forum for once with some useful information, or being helpful instead of serving as a prime example of some of the utter d*ckheads who unfortunately surface from time to time on here.
That is regretfully why I shall be curtailing my time on these forums, real shame as most people in this community are awesome but unfortunately I have enough going on in my life without having to deal with cantankerous old men lashing out at the world.

The original Snoopy was limited to 5441 pieces and look how that turned out....
as regards someone making a profit on a snoopy - do people realise that dealers AD,secondhand dealers etc.. make a profit.....? of course they do but because thats the way its always been maybe people are more acceptable of it.i was seriously interested in the snoopy(see earlier posting) but decided i needed to see one for real and i wanted to know the price - at the time i was getting quoted very rough figures as omega had not released a price.i'm still in the same situation.i can understand people who seriously want to buy a snoopy to find out someone has ordered 2 and intends to profit on them - i would simply say that personally i would definetly not buy from them in this situation.at the same time i have bought new rolex and been happy when they consistently put up the price therefore quaranteeing my secondhand watch will go up in value and also my vintage watches which continue to steadily climb in price compared to what i paid for them.the market will find a value for the snoopy watches but beware of the initial high prices that may be asked before things get sensible/settle down.remember that next year their will be another watch that people will drool over and desire.oh and omega have a reputation for bringing out limited editions of their watches - does anyone know how many different versions of speedmasters their has been in the last 10 years? no idea personally but their's been plenty.
