Very nice. Is that a screw down crown?

Very nice!👍👍
Well if you like this, you'll LOVE the Pelagos. Wait for the new "in house" movement version (though it has more lines of text on the dial).
Surprised it's your first!
Go for it, the Pelagos is awesome.
Flipped my SubC for it and haven't looked back
I like those a lot Al - the vintage vibe gets me.
Better looking than the Pelagos IMO.
Cheers,
Neil.
Nice watch OP, and good to hear positive comments on the Pelagos, as I've totally fallen for it.
Love mine.quality seems as good as my Rolex and better than my omegas
Personally apart from the DSSD I think the bracelet and clasp puts Rolex to shame .
Very nice Alex
I stepped into the Tudor world last week with a pelagos.love it great build quality and loving everything about it
All the best
Col.
Great watch and nice shots as well. A little puzzled about your last line "might try a pelagos next"... You should at least enjoy a new incoming two hours before you are allowed to look at your next purchase ;-)
Good aren't they! Build quality per buck is sublime, Pelagos on my list for next birthday too.
My only gripe is that Tudor seem to delight on razor sharp edges, I would like a teensy bit of chamfering.
Lovely watch and as a Rolex owner I think
most of the Tudor range are fantastic for the money and in no way is Tudor a poor mans Rolex. Enjoy your new watch.
Congrats, that's a great looking watch. Take care of it and it will last a lifetime and more.
I wish I liked the snowflake hands more. Otherwise a terrific looking watch. Congratulations.
I haven't bought a watch for about 2 years now but if I did I think it would be the Heritage BB.

I don't think I'll be without a Tudor for much longer, I keep thinking either the Pelagos- love the stepped dial or Black Bay- I like no date and no crown guards. Still can't choose!!
That's lovely Al. I've almost gone for one a few times, but just don't get on with watches without a date. I may reconsider for one of these though.
Did you get the bracelet with it as well?
Ian
Great buy, fantastic watch. Good to know that it is self winding AND it has a rotor. Well done.
Good little watch, the strap always ends up loose between the lugs as a gap appears but a swift change to a Toshi or similar if it bothers you solves that immediatly
RIAC
They've always had that on the dial of Tudors. It's another nod to the 'retro' vibe. I think these look great, sadly I can't get on with watches without a date complication (tried and failed with speedies and subs, not logical really but they never lasted long!) - genuinely don't know if I prefer the red or the blue, head says blue but heart says red - it is just so much 'warmer' and unlike anything else
A throwback to the dials of 50 and 60 years ago. Most watches back then were manual wind. The "Rotor Self-Winding" on the dial proclaimed that the Tudor watch did not need to be hand wound, an uncommon feature at the time.
Tudor could just put "Automatic" on the dial like everyone else but I am glad they stay true to their roots.
Gorgeous
That blue Pelagos is very tempting. I love the black face but this one has a bit more appeal.
How much will the new "in house" one come in at.
41mm matey.
I just got the blue one. I figured I would get tired of the red one faster.
I wonder if I should have just got the red!
Warning - bracelet adjustment is crude. There are only three holes in the clasp cover and the links are more or less standard Oyster size, but there are no half-links a la Longines/Omega. As it happens it fits fine but there's none of the Pelagos-type adjustment or the Easylink thing that the Daytona has. So it may or may not fit well.
...but what do I know; I don't even like watches!
anyone seen the new pelagos at an AD yet ? My local AD was telling me mid june originally, but now they are saying August... I'm guessing they dont actually have a clue?
EJ in Watford have a Tudor event this weekend where they will launch it along with the North Flag.
I've an appointment to view then. Can't wait!
Lovely watch. I've been looking at Tudor recently and the Black Bay Blue in particular. I then came across this today - unfortunately a one off but I think it looks gorgeous.

Ignore the above - just catching up on the threads and see this watch has been mentioned about three times already!!
Great looking watch, I'm looking at a few in Europe cos of the exchange rate 1-1.37 good deals out there.
´Nice´ is a bit moot isn´t it?!
The elabore ETA inside looks a beauty and the ´manufacture´ looks on par with the Vostok 2415 I bought for a tenner which is not as nice.
I do not for a moment doubt that the Rolex made (or not) movement will proove itself to be reliable and durable which is nice BUT it will need AD service which is reallyréally un-nice.
That averages out as léss nice

You do seem to have a problem with Tudor, and the idea of in-house movements - is it because they created and sold by the ROLEX family of wristwatch manufacturers? Personally I think the 70-hour power reserve, silicon spring and guarantee (at least at sale time) of higher accuracy are all decent upgrades.
Average service costs will indeed rise as any independent can service the ETA movement in an existing Tudor, but these new ones will probably have to go back. I don't know what the service charges of Rolex or Tudor are like everywhere in the world but the quotes I see here aren't outrageous compared to competitors.
