If Invicta had made that, people would be queuing up to slag it off! Its hideous, whoever made it!

Certainly not boring, but with a face only a mother could love it's absolutely hideous (all IMHO of course).

I like it. I wouldn't own or wear it, but I like it. Good for them for making something mental.

I like your GF more however :)

Not boring and not my cup of tea but I'm sure the workmanship of the engraving is top notch.

I like it, dare to be different I say!

I'm sure this is a scam made by the swiss watch industry.

Spring Drive Seiko Galante are bonkers designs, but I really want to own one one day.

Because if Invicta had made it, they would have made it cheaply and badly. Like it or loathe it, the quality here is fantastic.

It comes boxed with a notice - "Warning - This Watch May Put a Smile On Your Face" ... apparently.

Some steam, some punk... steampunk all the way.

Wouldn't buy/wear one though, however because I am the boring one, not the watch.

There is something compelling about the notion of a Seiko Galante.
They aren't for the faint-hearted, more the innate impetuous risk-taker.
Their exuberant, unapologetic, non-derivative designs shout non-judgemental, non-conformist, open for business.
Alas as romantic as the idea is, weighed down by the inhibited British sensibilities it offends, I would look quite ridiculous wearing one. Still, part of me wishes it wasn't so.

Let's not forget that invicta are mostly a budget brand that appeal to a lot of people who know nothing about watches, that aside it is in my opinion an unattractive watch

I think Tim (Java) has or had a Galante - quirky as a mad thing. The watch that is :)

Wow seiko have done the opposite of what many watches are. substance over style.
Gotta love the brand for daring to make them though, ugly as they are

  25. #25
Looks like it was designed by/for the Addams family. Ooof!

  26. #26
Any idea of Seiko's design rationale behind..?

Bling/Jewellery for the younger generation with a bit of money – mid-20s to early 30s, typically.

  28. #28
I don't think Seiko is boring. The fan bois, a totally different matter.
This one is not boring but not very attractive either.

Thank goodness my 7002 is boring

And who says Seiko is a little boring?

It's all subjective. Omega, Tag, Rolex (in particular) and Breitbling have all released vulgar models over the years. Fair play to Seiko for doing something a little, well....ott

    Breitbling?? Really? How original!😡

I like wacky, we don't all want to wear a beige cardy and nylon slacks

Maybe a little tall though, I tend to ding tall watches...

They are not boring. But they are ugly. Thats Seiko for you.So many models and therefore lots of choice. You either love or hate.

  36. #36
I like that. Would not buy it nor dare wear it for fear of banging it on something because it does look rather tall.

Coming soon to a Goth near you,
Boring no, an acquired taste, maybe.

    Should be popular in Whitby.
