Is that a moonphase too? Crikey!
I know that the quality of watches on here is generally very high, but if anyone is in the market for a cheap auto with a display back, then also are doing several mens' versions, 4 I think. £24.99. Not too cheap and nasty and could introduce someone into mechanical watches.
nb, duvet for colour reference only lol.

Itd be a nice cheap movement donor for someone to tinker with.
Id be very interested to know how (in)accurate these are over a week...
That’s the same logo as they have on their wall clocks, I have one in my shed:

Ignorance breeds Fear. Fear breeds Hatred. Hatred breeds Ignorance. Break the chain.
Wears a bit smaller than my last Aldi purchase.
Oh imagine the horror of buying one, only to find it keeps reasonable time and you actually start to like it.
I've dumped the Patek for this >>
ALDIWATCH.jpg
It also handwinds and hacks and has a 3 year guarantee!

Not bad 😞
If it's half as good as the Aldi chicken breasts I just had for tea I'm sure it's very good indeed! My wife is currently testing me every evening with a different meal where she will ask 'do you like item X it's new in Waitrose to which I (genuinely) reply 'yes its lovely' to be told it costs about 40% of the (inferior) Waitrose equivalent. Of course I know where they are from as I spend half my life with my nose in the fridge but hey, it keeps her amused!!
I can identify with this situation - and those aged aldi steaks are every bit as good as anything the competitors peddle.
As for the watches - well the movements obviously aren't likely to be anywhere near as refined as something youd find in a Patek - but, at 25 quid and using what is essentially the same technology, you cant really complain...
Looks better than a Hublot, richard mille etc
This is bonkers, but I'd rather pay double for a Seiko from Amazon.
Puts the Patek Grandmaster chime to shame
I'm guessing it would be an easy job for the skilled people on here to fit a new dial if something classier could be found. As Umbongo says, could be a good donor for aspiring watch makers.
I think they're good value and a nice novelty conversation piece. They're selling out fast here int north lol.
For the record, mine is running at -12 seconds for the first 24 hours straight out of the box. Not too shabby for the price.
Interesting, thanks for sharing!
It's less than 700km from Aldi's HQ in Essen to Glashütte, so that's a strong link with fine timepieces...
Actually I think that's pretty alright for the money !
Update on the timekeeping: Mine has settled at a consistent -12 seconds per day. A black one bought by a friend is running at +9 seconds a day, both of which are decent results for a cheap Chinese movement.
They must be approaching sold-out for now so maybe they have launched a whole new horde of watch enthusiasts?
Not too bad at all considering the price..
Still loads in Loughborough Aldi
Saw a white dialled one in my local Aldi yesterday. Looked much better from the back tbh!
I raise you an auto divers 'Submariner' watch for the same price..

The Aldi special could almost be a Laurent Ferrier homage.
I would be surprised if it had a similar movement though...
Bah! You have to bother yourself winding those examples of Ferriers offerings - those Aldi jobs do it themselves...
This Steampunk Omega, admittedly at £2 over budget, has a bracelet that might well work on a Speedy.
Also has the wonkiest dial ever.
