    SOTC

With the recent flurry of SOTCs, I thought it's been a while since I did one so thought I would add a few pics of my 6.

At the moment, no plans to add anymore. Will just enjoy what I have as the timepieces are very diverse. No doubt there will be an itch in the future but at present I'm pretty content with what I have!

    Collection consists of:

    1. JLC Mut Moon 39 - my main work watch and works particularly well with a suit.

    2. AP 15400 - the grail for me. Quite versatile and just love that blue.

    3. Cartier Solo xl - always wanted a rectangular watch. Have had 2 reversos before but flipped as they didn't fit well. This Cartier solo does the job.

    4. Rolex Hulk - that dial....

    5. PAM 320 - the Panerai was what got me started on this mad hobby. Love the heft and a very versatile piece.

    6. Speedmaster 9300 auto - all my watches have to be practical and must have a date. This chrono just works for me.

That is a fantastic set of six, really well chosen.

Not one in there I wouldn't love to own :)

Gotta love all of those :-)

Whilst not a big fan of dress watches, that JLC is absolutely stunning.

    Thanks!

I'm fortunate to own all 6.

I genuinely don't have a favourite as they all are very different from each other. The oldest one out of the 6 is the AP 15400 blue dial and that took me ages to find in new condition.

What I do like is the diversity. Depending on what I'm wearing, where I'm going, etc I'll select the most appropriate timepiece. And that what makes having more than one nice watch interesting and exciting for me.

The one watch that intrigues me most is the Cartier Solo. I now just buy what I like rather than going for the brand or movement in WIS terms. It's a beautiful piece and a good value for a timepiece that cost just less than £2k.

Rainer Schuster box. A German fellow who sells his boxes on the paneristi forum. Euros 139 (including delivery). Not as good as hillwood boxes but good value nonetheless.

Amazing, almost my perfect collection, I'd would maybe have kept a reverso, but the Cartier would also do nicely.
Love the AP. Thanks for sharing. I do love a good SOTC.

Oh dear. Having recently acquired "the one" and sold a few others, I thought I'd got all thoughts of wanting a collection out of my head. Now I've seen this. What a brilliantly balanced, fine collection. Looking at the pics I started thinking there's no point having cash in the bank, it's not earning any interest, blah, blah. OP - that's a fantastic box of loveliness. And I am NOT going to look at it any more....

Lovely set. If you found another watch that you just had to have, would you let one go or just buy a slightly bigger box? :)

A very nicely crafted collection there with enough variety to cover all the bases.
