good price on the Bullheads!!!
Stumbled upon a Jewellery store in Wintey (Oxfordshire) who were open for the last day today before closing down for a big refurbishment.... To my disbelief, they had up to 60% off Omega, Tag, Certina, Longines as well as Montblanc pens, jewellery and what else not....
I really loved these amazing Seamaster Bullhead Limited Editions (especially the white faced one) but I didn't have my credit card on me today.... Maybe that's for the best....
... Silly me!
If only you'd posted this before they closed :-( Those Bullheads are gorgeous, especially with the turned dial.
Looks like 40% off to me, but good deals none-the-less.
Yet...presumably they are still making a profit.
I just got a little bit sick.
How many more watches would shops sell if they did this sort of thing more often and advertised it
I think theyre close to break-even with those prices, I reckon they just want to get rid of those bullheads. Ugly as hell and probably impossible to sell.
I personally feel that the discounted prices, is where they should be starting at. £6000 for the Bullhead is absurd, nice as it is.
Whilst on my travels through Singapore and Europe, I noticed a vast number of Omega models available at numerous outlets, along with vast numbers of watches from other brands as well. To me, the pricing is totally out of sink with the real world, hence why there are literally thousands of watches sitting unsold in AD's. It's madness. I am finding it very confronting and even more so when I think that this is deemed acceptable and the norm. It's a wonderful hobby but not at such a heavy cost.
If only you`d seen this and posted on Friday, there`s a watch in your pic i`ve been waiting to buy for over a year now, and i was passing through Oxon yesterday so would probably be £3645 worse off today......
Yes, the Bullheads are not to everyones taste - good.
I prefer `distinctive`, not ugly..
Damn.
Decent deals there probably better in the long run prevent buyers remorse.
Saw a bullhead this weekend for the first time; just as ugly it looks in the photos. Just looks wrong IMO and I`m surprised Omega resurrected it!

At absolute best that will be break even price on the watch only (remember 20% goes straight to the government)
It won't leave anything for other costs like, council rates, banking charges, staffing costs, property rent and maintenance, insurance, etc.
I suspect branded watches have a much smaller margin than things like bottled water and coffee (2000%) otherwise the cost of the bull head would have to be about £300 to the retailer and does anyone genuinely believe that Omega could manufacture and sell (while making a profit) a bullhead to a retailer for that kind of money ????
Great pieces
I've probably stood next to you at that AD's window at some point. Always a good selection of Omega there.
