    Cleaning

    Morning all,

Just wondered what you guys used to clean your watches and straps.

    Have a good weekend.

After I have taken a shower I sometimes use my wet towel to clean one up. Very soft and the moist helps get rid of spots etc.

I wish I had a dog, he (she?) looks lovely!
Going back to cleaning, I've put my work g-shock through the dish washer a few times, anything else tends to be some warm soapy water and a soft bristled tooth brush.

Me too, alas, that is not my dog. I travel and work too much to be able to care for such an animal properly.

This looks like a very ecolocical way to clean dishes and watches! 😉
I have to check if it would work with my cats.

Think that's what the OP's asking for – getting himself psyched up, and tooled up, for when his first SC purchase arrives, so as he can get stuck in after the unboxing ceremony and photoshoot.

Ultrasound cleaner for gunked up bracelets - you need to get the crap out of unseen places to prevent wear. Soap and water on cases. Washing machine for leather and nylon straps.

just wipe the watch ive been wearing over with a microfibre at the end of the day and occasionally use a clean handkerchief to insert into the nooks and cranies of the bracelet, the edge of the kerchief can be inserted into each link an dragged across the opening, dental floss for cleaning under bridges can be used as well.

+1 for the ultrasound on bracelets, amazes me the gunk these things can produce

Get a cheap ultrasonic cleaner from lidl/aldi next time they come up (every 6 months
or so) , well worth it.

    Chaps

I wear Rolex and hence it is waterproof. I use fairy liquid and a tooth brush and it does the job.

    Regards

Are any of the various JPL low-end (i.e. <£100) ultrasonic cleaners adequate for properly cleaning bracelets? Reviews go all the way from “complete waste of time” upwards.

£118 is not too painful for one that clearly works.
