    Speedmaster leather strap help

    I really like the look of the leather straps on speedmasters.

    This one I adore;

    Any advice please on getting that one?

    There's some I've seen on eBay - but they don't look like that quality.

    Thanks for any help in advance

    That's a heuerville. Check out DB10 straps too, both great strap makers.

    Speedmaster leather strap help

    Thanks Petewon :).

    I also need to acquire a small enough extraction tool as the one I have the two teeth at the end are too wide/big

    While you're ordering and waiting for one of those...how about a TF Rally stap (see last item on that linked page). You can have it next week!

    Go for Bergeon...see their pdf file. I've bought from from eBay, Cousins and www.watchtool.co.uk.

    You want the 6767-F as a minimum. And, perhaps, some spare tips. The 6111-E spade end is really useful for straps that are tight between the lugs. It will slide in and it's 'bent' shape makes it easy to use as a lever against the lug with out scratching. 6111-D is another useful tip, especially for drilled lugs. You can buy Bergeons's 6111 tool. It's three times the price of the 6767 but probably worth it. I, being the mean sod that I am, bought the end tools and fitted them to a cheap eBay copy. NB The copy's tools were cheap and poor quality...the blade was too thick and malleable to be useful.

    Use the advanced search facility to search TX for terms such as spring bar tool in thread titles and you'll find some previous discussions.

    I've ordered one from DB10.

    Impressed with the communication and email help with ordering from James...

    I report back when the strap has arrived and will post some photos.

    Thanks for the tips gents
