    Never even saw it coming.

Slowly but surely I'm turning into one of you losers. For some reason I've just removed a beautifully made bracelet and replaced it with a £10 strip of nylon.

It's got to be tried, but don't through away the bracelet yet.

Would look good on plain black NATO. Looks good on the Omega rubber but not that comfortable for me. The rubberized leather look strap for the older models would be perfect though. I have a curved end Omega strap on my PO and it's the most comfortable PO I've ever owned.
It's just a matter of time...

The ONLY strap to wear with a Seamaster 300 is the original bracelet. It's just too perfect for the watch to consider anything else.

Maybe a good rubber at a push

Try it on an Omega mesh! See (similar) link. They occasionally come up on the SC.

Well, I rather like it, but a pure black Nato might be better!

Here is a list of the watches which look good on a Nato strap:

    Yes, that's the complete list.

    Very true! XD

NATO straps are only good for not losing your watch if one of the spring bars fail. This is useful for sports and that's about it.

6 months ago I would have agreed with the NATO doubters but I have to say that my 6309-735 looks far better on a Bond NATO than on it's Jubilee.
I'm not sure about the SMP though.

I've a cheap Sekonda on a NATO which I wear to the gym (although I've taken to wearing a Retrograde Quartz chrono on a BONETTO CINTURINI rubber strap recently, so even that might change).

The only watch I actually LIKE on a nylon strap is my Steinhart Ocean Black which looks very stealthy on a Timefactors Rhino and I never found the Steinhart bracelet very comfortable, so I have to agree, very few watches look better on a NATO and that Omega isnt, IMVHO, one of them...

I like a plain black NATO on a Seamaster. I particularly like it on a 2254.

I'm not a big fan of NATO straps but I find a £5 Timefactors Canvas very comfortable.

Personally, I think the Mako XL can be added to the small list of watches that look better on a nato than its original bracelet.
