Seldom seen limited, rare etc hard to come by pilots watches - lets see Žem

    IŽll begin : -

This is one of the 150 stainless steel encased Fliegeruhr von Hellmut WEMPE that emerged in 2004 and house a modified Chronometerwerke
    Kaliber CW 672
(subsidized by Chronoswiss) movement, enabling it the rate accuracy of 99,965%. The were also 125 Fliegeruhrs encased in
925-silver (Baumuster B) as well as 25pcs encased in 950-platinum respectively (Baumuster A). Whilst I wear it seldom I appreciate it dearly.

Something of a controversial piece, but here's my unworn SeaKing GMT 116710LN :

Of course, some of the mil subs were issued to helicopter pilots and I also have a very nice full set, civilian ( of course ) 1680 that a Captain Pxxxxxx, retired helicopter pilot, bought for himself.

Must be some interesting Navitimers about to hit this thread.....

*drools* I presume you'd have a large wrist B? I've seen pics of the luftwaffe guys wearing them on the wrist, but they are a huge watch. I had a Stowa one waaaay back when. Type 2 dial, yours is the nicer IMH. It was a non runner, got it for very little, but pre internet didn't know what to do with it(a couple of movement bits were missing). It was far too big for my scrawny wrists though.

My one from the early 30's.

Huge for those days at 41mm minus the crown, but like a toy watch beside Bruno's Lange. Sadly mine doesn't have the patina. :( Needed a redial. If the funds allow one of these days I'll get it redone more accurately.

P1lot One limited edition of 52 pieces for a Dutch watch forum. Handmade case, caseback, crown, dial, etc. Only the luminova was done in Switzerland and the movements were bought.

This is not even close to the same league as some watches shown. Probably a different game altogether. I used to have this Breitling Navitimer Super Constellation LE.

1049 were made and for various reasons this was never a popular LE, so you don't see many around. I think I have seen four of them on various forums, including mine.

That Lemania is the nicest thing I've seen so far in this thread. Love it.

I have a big wrist but it's more a collectors item then a watch you want to wear on daily basis :-)
I wear it sometimes but not often

Posted this over at BMW but I thought some you might like them.

Two from the Swiss Alps and two from the Gloucestershire Cotswolds.

Omega 1943 6B/159 on a simple NOS English pigskin band. Needs to be worn with an Irvin sheepskin flying jacket at angels 15, two tenths cloud and an iced-up ASI.

Omega 1953 6B/542 (Fat Arrow) on a David Boettcher strap in nice soft brown leather and rattly a Bonklip bracelet.

Smiths De Luxe G.S. 6B on a NOS V.B. webbing strap.

Smiths Astral 1967 6B on a NOS 17mm Perlon and a Phoenix RAF bund from Mike Steward.

Two of the four watches and three of the six straps are 100% "Made In England"

    Hope you like the pics.

Prototype Cal.12 automatic Heuer Bundeswehr - this one trialed by the Luftwaffe to test the properties of an automatic verses the tradition manual versions.

This rare 1st execution Heuer Autavia with full lume dauphine hands.
It was purchased new in 1962 by the first female pilot for Austrian Airways & she used it her entire 20+ year career there.

    Heuer Flieger 348 from 1939
History not known but the period it was produced makes me wonder what this watch has been through
