Pre-built PC - RTX 4060, this is a good deal right?

There are multiple occasions for me where it would be useful to have a windows machine in the house (currently a very Apple-centric household). So have been toying with the idea of building a machine mostly for work but occasional gaming.

Just thought I would see what John Lewis had and I came across this, I don't seem to be able to get close to that price by building it myself. Anyone who has experience in these things tell me why this would be a bad purchase?

Have a look at PCspecialist website and see what configs they have ready to go.

Great machines, good to deal with and plenty of options.

Ordinarily I think that is what I would look at but the cheapest 4060 based machine they have costs £1280 (vs £850 for the HP) with an older CPU and not as small a form factor.

Depends what you're using it for. It's an OK deal but if you want to play AAA titles at high settings you'll need at least 32gb RAM and ideally a 4070 or more.
