Like it. A lot. Some of their recent offerings have left me cold. But the Tektite, El Buzo and Le Grand were top notch. They throw a lot in to the overall package too with additional straps.

I thought the Cayman was a nice looking watch but this looks perfect to me.

    I have already ordered one.

I wonder why they chose that case and not, for example, one with the semi-protected crown (to me, the most iconic aspect of the Scubapro 500 cases). The introduction of a train track, rather than marker ticks, gives it a rather odd look - reminds me of something I saw by Tender, rather than the S500. Amazing how the slightest changes really do impact the whole - all I can see is the classic Rolex dial - whereas in the S500, it was somehow more (or perhaps less). The whole now reminds me more of the Eterna than the original S500. But I'm probably wrong. I usually am.

    Great choice Dave :)

They really do offer a lot of good specs for the money, and great built quality as well.

    Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!

Thanks Richard. They are very well built at their price point.

This new Crepas Scuba 500 would be very near the looks and specification of a watch I would design myself.

Very nice and I would like one (with the mesh) but I really need to stop buying watches.

    It is nice though. :-)

Really nice! Reminds me a lot of those Eterna Kontiki IDF divers with that case shape and orange triangle on the bezel

    I love it.
Didn't get a chance to preorder but Crepas emailed me that they had set aside my my favorite number.
    Only 99 pieces.

Do you actually get the mesh strap with this? It does not seem to be mentioned in the spec, unless I missed it. They also sell the mesh strap as an add-on, which is why I'm asking.

It's tempting but my head is trying to talk my heart out of it. Mmmmm, really on the fence.

They are sold out but the standard strap package is a black leather with orange stitching and a black nylon with orange stripe. I am guessing that the mesh will be offered as an extra when the final balance is due, but it is not part of the standard package.

I like it, the propellor on the dial reminds me of a chief engineer's epaulettes. C/eng would be 4 stripes but you get the idea.

Also like this Eterna I spotted for sale in a little shop called Alsal Watches on Fleet Street yesterday (£1500)...

Great looking homage, IMHO. I love the design on several watches from this brand.

Funny enough I bought one of these yesterday, fantastic value for money. wears smaller than the 44mm size
I will post pics separately, don't want to hijack the thread.
