Thread: New AP Diver SIHH

    New AP Diver SIHH

I have been a naughty boy and purchased the new watch with the see through caseback. Does anyone know the cost of the bracelet for it as I want to be able to dress it up as well.

    Thanks

If it is the same bracelet as the previous AP diver, cost me about $1200 pre-owned

Wow, new it must be pricey. Will keep my eye out secondhand. Does anyone know if the aftermarket non OEM ones are any good? They are built the same I believe but just not AP.

I doubt they'd be built the same. Those bracelets are unbelievably solid and very comfortable, with perfect tolerances between the links etc...

Looking the same, and being built the same are two different things.

Bit like buying a Zonda and putting on pot metal aftermarket rims, you'd be trusting your watch to be held on by a bracelet made by the lowest bidder.
That said the "aftermarket" (dubious term in itself since alot of them are AP branded) are not cheap to start with.

New bracelet for the previous Diver from AD would have been around 2300-2400€.
The price was quoted to me last september/october.

Can you change your order to include it on the watch?

The bracelet isn't an option it's an extra, if you see what I mean. However the principle of having done the deal to include one is sound. Wonderful thing hindsight.

Ah OK. PJ S found me a couple of the old style ones on bracelet when i commented you rarely saw them together. Now we know why!

Indeed, AP will tell you they don't supply the Diver with a bracelet and, at least during my contact with them, informed me that there isn't a bracelet for the Diver. I picked one up outside of AP for my Diver (chrono24).

I have never seen just bracelets on Chrono 24, how did you find that?

INthink bracelet is for ROO chrono, not specifically for the diver.

Put 'Audemars Piguet bracelet' into the search function and then click 'accessories' (left hand side, near the top) and there's usually 4 or 5. Make sure you do plenty of due diligence though. If it looks too good to be true it mostly is and there were a few sellers who provided no extra pics, receipts etc etc which made me wary to say the least.

Editted to add; you've seen the pics on here I'm sure but the AP diver on a bracelet is a different watch entirely than on rubber. I love the comfort of the rubber but the bracelet is something else again.

Had a quick look and £450 seems cheap, is this real?

    With that price it's fake.

Begs the question why they are allowed to advertise when it's that obvious.

    Chrono24 doesn't care. Simple.

I've handled one of those and the quality is pretty good.
They're still fakes so I wouldn't buy one.

Is there a way to authenticate a bracelet?

I wouldn't have known the bracelet was a fake if the owner hadn't told me.
So I can't really help you with that.
