Looks amazing, all the best things from the original trilogy; Chewbacca, Han Solo, Millenium Falcon, Star Destroyers, Tie Fighters 😎 all of which Lucas tried to replicate but made pony for the prequels.

This looks epic. I'm genuinely as excited about this as I was for the first one in 1977. I can almost taste the crummy chewing gum from the collector cards we used to get.
This looks like a real return for the films.

FANTASTIC! Thanks so much for posting up - loved the reference with Millennium Falcon flying through the ship and nearly knocking off the radar dish

Also the link to Star Wars Battlefront which premieres tomorrow! Might need a lie down.....

Looks fantastic. I usually wait for films to come out on Blu-Ray, but this looks like a cinema visit. Roll on Christmas!

I've only been waiting since 1976

    Finally! This looks amazing.

It's surprising that it took them 32 years to make a new Star Wars film though.

What a trailer! I am desperately looking forward to seeing this film.

I got the originals on bluray for Christmas, but I'm holding off watching them until say November in readiness for this new film.

Very hopefully this won't be as bad as when Jar Jar Binks popped up on the screen in Episode I and I died inside a little. But JJ Abrams is the best possible pair of hands for this so I'm very excited! And tying in the old characters.....could be epic.

I will be going to see this in the afternoon of the 18th of December, then off to see Def Leppard and Whitesnake in the evening at Wembley Arena, simply an awesome day.

He says "my father has it" ... so, not dead then!??

Does look a lot better than the horrible prequels, wish we could alternate timeline them into some other universe altogether

Definitely Mark. Same line as ROTJ with the addition at the end.

I noticed the repetition... I cant see how that would fit though. Also, if it is true that Daddy Darth aint dead then it seems unlikely they would reveal it in a trailer?

Could be 'alive' in same way as Obi Wan and Yoda? Could refer to him in the present tense then?

  38. #38
I have high hopes for this.

I've been waiting for more Star Wars films since 1980. I don't count episodes 1-3 they're just pants.

Think they could have given Chewy some grey hairs

    Looks cool

Thanks for posting - would love this film to be a good-un. Close to the original 3 would do me.

Rumour is these are Chrome Troopers a special forces group led by Captain Phasma

The new Stormtroopers look cool, there's a couple of different ones in this clip too, one with a rocket pack & different helmet towards the left, third row back & a Snowtrooper right at the back in the middle, looks like an ice planet too:

Just watched it - a little bit of wee came out. How are we gonna wait until December?

Looks totally awesome and Vadar (Darth, not Jeff) must be still alive.

If the trailer is indicative of the film then....

    Woooohooooo!!

And we can erase the last three films from our minds.

What excites me more than the trailer is the news that they'll be using real sets in Abu Dhabi rather than CGI in a Buckinghamshire portacabin . Cast your mind back to the trailers for Episode One.....Darth Maul...double headed lightsabre....references like Tusken Raiders...how cool it looked and yet how crap it turned out to be

Almost brought a tear to my eye... Let's hope it's character driven like ANH and ESB and not purely for endless CGI effects like the I, II and III.

Remember the first trailer? Most people have probably seen this 'special edition' - but for those who haven't... it certainly gave me a giggle at the time.

The Stormtrooper with the pack is actually a flame trooper. Armor is being displayed at Celebration in CA right now.

Don't you mean 1977. Star Wars was released on May 25th 1977 unless you were one of the lucky ones to see it at SDCC.
