Wow!!!
What a find…………Congratulations
IMO, it's a true classic Seiko Chrono.
And I fully agree, as he did the same for me :)
Picked a little watch up from the bottom of a box of watches in a car boot and sent it to Cannop for a service:

Cleaned up well

I really must go to more car boot sales...
I've never found anything remotely worthwhile at car boot sales, granted I dont go to many but generally very slim pickings these days ..
I do agree with the work that Duncan undertakes though, very impressive. I currently have a watch with him and am looking forward to recieving it back.
Nice find and great work, as usual, by Duncan.
Must get myself to some car boot sales....
Wow what a great find and it's come up well, for £3
What a great little find. I look forward to seeing it on the SC!
£3!!!!
good find......I'm never that lucky
Great story. I'm on the lookout for one of these from 1969. As mentioned by others, clearly the car boot sale is the way forward!
You jammy [multiple expletives deleted]! :D Fantastic find, great watch and nicely sorted by Cannop. Well wear.
Hell of a find that one Vinny! Absolute icon that Pogue, finding one in a box of junk at a car boot sale must be most Seiko collectors dream I imagine!
Car boots will be busy this Sunday then
Just as well Burnsey isn't still around. I imagine he might have an opinion or two about this :)
Nice find and nice clean up!
If you don't go hunting around car boots you will never find anything.
Cheers,
Neil.
Congratulations! Nice to see an old classic getting a new lease of life.
Congrats, bargains can still be found. Cannop's the man for Seikos!

Bloody hell! What a find!
Great to see this
All being well I will be getting a Pogue from Duncan later in the year.
Well done! Good find, the one I found on eBay turned out to be a bit of a pup, Duncan kindly pointed out the error of my ways before I spent any money trying to sort it though. Top bloke!
Superb find. And a great restoration job by the looks of it.
Those are one of the nicest Seikos ever made IMO - certainly my favourite model.
Looking very good!
What did Duncan do to it?
Its in the link in the 1st post: http://thewatchbloke.co.uk/2015/03/2...r-seiko-pogue/
that is nice, very nice indeed. Well done the both of you. Thanks for the link to the blog, made a good read.
Wow that is awesome find.. I always hope to find something like this but never do, wife always finds tut tho
Dial looks stunning the way the light's caught it, you jammy bugger!
I would love to find a car boot sale within 20 miles?
Lovely! Just did my research on this (trying to refrain from asking too many stupid questions!) and am glad I did - an iconic watch and nothing to do with the Irish Rover....everyday is a schoolday.
What a corker
I need to start looking with eyes fully open. Lovely find and great looking watch.
Class
Enjoy it mate :-)
What a find, looks great.
Great watches, I have one and it is my son's favourite watch in my small seiko collection. To find one for 3 quid that cleans up that well is a great result.
Car boot sales are great hunting grounds, so are charity shops. I do not spend much time hunting but I have found some really nice watches for very little money in the past. The feeling when you find something cool is great.
Well done on the find and thanks for posting, really enjoyed the link. Great skills.
Now that's inspiration to go to a car boot sale - looks great!
Love hearing stories like this gives me hope!
