    Yes, it's official: I'm a Porsche owner... of a modest 914...

Yes! It's official now! I've bought the car. Earlier this morning the seller and I agreed on the price etc. I'll be picking it up next Wednesday.

I will move the car to the workshop (10 mls to the NE) and start working there:
    - drop the engine
    - start cleaning all engine parts
    - replacing the pushrod tubes and seals
    - cleaning the engine bay
    - taking off the tins for powder coating ( I can blast them myself)
    - taking car of the spaghetti under the bonnet: new hoses etc.
    - new tyres (just the original 165/15s - this time from Vredestein @52 euros a piece)

From there I will start cleaning everything under the bonnet etc.

The interior looks better irl than on the pics. Has to do with the flash of the camera. However... I know it's a totally original car, but I have my eyes set on the grey tartan seat covers.

    A few pics!

    Excellent sir, many congratulations.

Next step - find a nice 911 engine, a few body panel and create a 916.

Failing that, just clean it up and look after it. Great fun for the summer plus be in the knowledge it will actually cost you very very little own in the medium to long term.

I really liked the one Wheeler Dealers did a few years ago. Cute.

    Congratulations.

Recomend you the swap to an 19 mm master cylinder and check the bushings in the shifter linkage, the one in the firewall is the mostly worn one.
    Best regards, Hans.

I'd love a 914 one day. Popular amongst VW enthusiasts. Great buy.

Can we have an exterior shot? For before and after?

Easiest it to have a look at the seller's FB page:

I'm not on FB; one of my boys told me to have a look. It's the silver coloured one!
