    I see the case back number has been changed and there is a nasty "stainless steel" engraving.

    Fitted on a J.B. Champion African Elephant Strap.

    What are we supposed to be seeing here?

    Should it not either be a 3134 or a 2940, not both?

    In reading the descrition both are on the caseback with 2940 crossed out.

    Not seen the listing yet but this sometimes happens with Vintage Rolex as they would manufacture component for one model but may eventually use them for another rather than wait for a manufacturing run to complete.

    caseback is wrong, possibly the whole case, this looks like it should have been set in a smaller 9ct gold case
