After Bones, Scotty, Nurse Chapel and many red shirts, we don't have much left. Live long and prosper Spock and thanks for all the Treking.

I am very sad indeed to hear this

I loved the character and he came across in interviews as being a kind, gentle and intelligent man.

    RIP Leonard!

Usually the news of the death of an actor or some celebrity do not touch me. This one left me sad. May he rest in peace.

I'm a huge Trek fan. He was a great character and leaves a timeless legacy of wonderful entertainment that is more than just a TV show. Star Trek has touched and inspired countless people throughout the world who hope for a better future for humanity.

    Or old age...?

Sorry, not something to make light of I know. Still 83 is a nice long run, I wouldn't be disappointed with that.
I think I'll have a nose through the old Star Trek movies this weekend in respect, the ones directed by Nimoy were by far the best in my opinion.

    RIP Mr Spock.

I watched the first Star Trek episode shown on the BBC in July 1969, 8 days before Neil Armstrong walked on the Moon.

Another great icon of small and big screen sadly passes. Enjoyed his portrayal of Dr William Bell in Fringe and of course the mighty Spock. Although not so much The Ballard of Bilbo Baggins

Your right about that I think

It was fitting that his last screen appearance was in the latest Star Trek film

Im not really a trekky fan but I was fascinated by Leonard Nimoys voice and sonorous tone. He always remained in my mind as Galvatron from transformers the animated movie.

Sad news. Although not a fan of the show, he was a familiar face. It reminds me of a Valentine weekend when I took the missus down to Bournemouth. Booked a hotel, when we turned up, it was a Trekkie convention. The whole reception was full of Lycra clad people. We called the lift to go to our room and as the doors opened, we were greeted by Dr. Spock and Zulu. We squeezed in and Dr. Spock very politely asked 'which floor'.

    Certainly an interesting weekend.

Sounds like Spock was a WIS.
