    SOTC... sort of

I did a SOTC a while ago, saying how I found some rest, not feeling the urge to buy and sell anymore. Of all the watches in that SOTC I have only one left today. So I’m not going to linger on how this is my perfect collection; I just happened to do a couple of half decent pics and thought I’d show them here.

Enicar Sherpa Date: bought it, cleaned up the dial, gave the case a brush, found a strap in Germany and a buckle here on the forum (many thanks Ed!) and this is the result:

Seiko: fell in love with it, had a correct crown fitted by our own Cannop and still enjoy it very much:

Seagull: amazing VFM for a mechanical chrono and like it much better than the ‘standard’ 1963:

Also the watch that made me appreciate see-through casebacks:

Tudor 7919: had one, sold it in order to buy a Nomos, decided the Nomos was too new, so put it up FSOT and was offered another 7919:

Bulova 218 hummer: lovely watch, put it up for sale once but then stumbled upon a NOS Bulova lizard strap and put it back in rotation:

Sinn: because you need a daily beater and they don't get much better than this:

Hydronaut: because it’s so well put together, relatively affordable, colourful and just an all-round great watch:

Breitling: the one watch I have had for a longer period of time. I just think it’s a very, very beautiful watch, period:

Oooh I like all of those, even the Breitling which normally don't do anything for me. I like the Sinn best.

I love the vintage watches. I will venture in that direction some day but am not yet brave enough. Great collection.

Some dare I say, quite rare, pieces in your collection. Most of them I haven't seen before. Very nice though, thanks for showing

Read up on your subject, look at lots of watches and ask people more knowledgeable for advice, and you should be alright.

Some lovely pictures of very nice pieces. Loving the Seagull, the gold on black is something I have never considered until now. An absolutely stunning watch and a very pretty movement indeed.

That Chronomat - is it a black dial that's only appearing blue due to the AR coating? I had exactly the same watch, with a black dial a few years ago but sold it on eBay. Definitely a very striking look to it.

This is in fact a metallic blue dial, but the AR coating does indeed have a beautiful blue sheen.

    Hi Hidde,

Great collection, lots of diversity. I particularly like the Sinn and the Hydronaut (obviously! ). What age is the Sinn? Assume it's got a 2836 movement?

    Thanks for sharing!
    Mark

Thanks Mark! The Sinn is from 2013, and you're movement guess was close: it's an SW220.

Great collection but this one is my favourite. Remainds me on my Omega Seamaster De Ville.
    Congrats
