Same price as a second hand Audi.

Better looking, better engineered, better residual, and a warm feeling inside every time you look at it (which on the wrist gives plenty of bangs for your buck).

    Enjoy!

Nice one that is very special and the movement is orgasmic I would be forever turning it over what craftsmanship a venerable jewel indeed.

I think this version of the watch looks better in rose gold, but the earlier version looks better in white gold. I've seen that opinion expressed elsewhere as well, so maybe there's something in it.

Gorgeous hands. Platinum / white gold would be my pick but this is just wonderful.

Probably the best finished chronograph movement in the business in my opinion.

Excellent choice, I'm quite jealous. Enjoy it.

This is just beautiful. Is the chrono a flyback as in the Datographs?

Yes it is. This is pretty much a Datograph without a date. It's quite a bit cheaper, slimmer and 'cleaner' looking as a result. Nobody would argue that the first isn't a good thing, but the other two are a matter of personal taste.

Since this thread, I have been looking at the 1815 range . I think the white gold version is my new grail, replacing the Patek 5205, which is also a great watch. The detailing on the sapphire back is just mesmerising.

How do the residuals compare With Lange vs Patek? Are the servicing costs on par?

I think it has to do with age, at 36 I don't think I can pull off gold. Anyway by the time I save up for this watch. Gold might suit me by then .

That is a very special piece. Health to wear.

Spending time in this place very quickly alters ones targets and aspirations (and bank balance!)

    Stunning watch & great photo,s.

It doesn't take an understanding of the principles of design for that dial alone to put a smile on your face.

It may have taken a while but I'm sure you have made the right decision. The 1815 Chronograph is a beautiful understated watch which will surely stand the test of time and provide years of quiet satisfaction and enjoyment. Well done that man.

Absolutely outstandingly gorgeous! Rosé gold all the way.

Not if you don't want slapped for running two vowels next to one another.

Yes, and you're the man to blame! Very pleased with it though, and even my wife likes it which is more than can be said from what I bought last (a ProPlof)

No it isn't. I know they have one and I enquired about it...looks very nice... but this was a couple of years newer and unworn so it had the edge.

    Hi jdh1,

It's a beautiful watch. Wear it in good health!

By the way, can you let me know by pm or here, where you got it from? My only source for used watches for sale is just chrono24!

For me this watch is ALL about the beautifully decorated movement and the dial doesn't press my buttons very much. I could never afford anything in this price range - even if it was a car - so I will have to admire from afar, but those who suggested that they would like to wear it "back outwards" clearly appreciate the artistry of the movement as I do.
