Don't get me wrong. I love G-Shocks. Mainly because of their robustness and accurate time keeping. I have several. I always set everything else by them. You put it on in the morning and the only thing you have to bother about is cleaning all the muck off in the evening. Unfortunately several functions such as the altimeter, barometer and temperature are just not accurate enough on these watches to be of any use. Readability in different light conditions is also questionable. It would be more useful if they had a larger and brighter display. I think they are missing a trick here. At the moment I regard them as pure gimmicks and not serious tools. But the day will come! Apart from that, I'm not too keen on the electric green colour of this one. Every time I looked at it I would think I had a frog strapped to my wrist. Just saying like.

Working class is a class too, innit.

Thoughts on this one greatly appreciated once you've had time to acquaint yourself with it. :-)

    It's on my 'potentials' list...

    Early thoughts......
It is big, especially when you put it next to other G-Shocks.
However, it doesn't wear as big as it is, and looks good on the wrist.
The lume and illumination is superb.
It wears very comfortable, and the carbon fibre on the rear of the strap is colour coded to the blue on the dial.
I flew with this watch yesterday and remembered to put it into aircraft mode, which is a single push of a button (hold for 4-5 seconds).

No logic - just a different colour design. Looks great IMHO. That's it

Took me all of 10mins to withdraw this and realise I had to keep it

You know, I have the same frogman and have thought of selling it a few times, then decided to keep it. I really like the module, the chunkiness and the caseback, but it is so darned uncomfortable to wear (either too loose or too tight, I have large wrists so between the 2nd and 3rd hole in from the tip of the band) and tbh no more functional than a 5610. Plus the alarm is feeble, often fails to synch (when every other g I have synchs every night) but when I'm in the right mood I really like it!!??

I am still really drawn to that model frogman! Very nice, glad you pulled it, I would have been fighting the temptation!

    Indeed

Do you see any G5600KG-3 for sale in HK? Really fancy one but they don't come up for sale very often.

It is. There were quite a few for sale a while back but they seem hard to come by now.

Mine came to me without a bezel and a broken strap. I've added the yellow, which looks great. Tempted to get a red set too!

Your frog collection is awesome. Are you on Instagram?

Thanks. There's the odd one (and the atomic version) for sale on a few of the Jananese auction sites but it works out pretty expensive by the time you use one of the middle men (Fromjapan etc)

Just came back from a week in Italy, by Lake Garda. I'm sure I saw a G-shock like that in a shop in Peschiera del Garda, so it might not be a prototype. I'm no G-shock expert, so I could be wrong, but it was quite distinctive.

I used to have a G-shock when I was younger but the button for the light always used to crack because I'd be incessantly playing with it!
