Don't really need the barometric trend indicator to tell that it's been raining here for the last few days! The trend graph is my favorite feature along with instantly activating the stopwatch with the bottom right button on these watches (well and atomic timekeeping and solar power!)

They're both great watches. The D1000 has lots more features of course but it's a lot bigger and heavier too.
In terms of quality the D1000 wins hands down.
But I still love the GF-8250 :-)

My wrist is about 7.33", but that photo makes the watch appear much bigger than it really is.
Obviously it is a reasonably large watch, but they are superb. Give one a try!

When you go down the G rabbit hole you realise how many interesting watches are restricted from us compared to Asia and the States. On top of that more expensive too

Guess importing is the best way forward?
