A recent pick up, not familiar with G-Shocks but I believe this is an older discontinued model GW-5600J

Noticed that the Mudmaster was really ‘popping’ under the artificial light.......

Can someone explain why the frogmen are so expensive compared to some of the other models?
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

The quality of the build is a lot better than the other Master of Gs. The Rangeman by comparison really does feel like a plastic toy. Plus the Frogman has always been sold as the elite G Shock and of course prices can be skewed higher due to the positioning.

I've not been checking into this thread much lately - my focus has for now turned from Gs and I'm happy with my G SOTC, but I know when I see a good G, best one DD out of the anniversary models

Honestly I’ve no idea. I’ve got lots of different G’s and I’ve never thought the quality of the frogman is anything special. Sure, it has a screw back case but so did a lot of cheaper models in the past. And it just makes them heavier with no discernible benefit imho. In fact the gwf-1000 I own also has a feebly quiet alarm and doesn’t sync half as often as my other solar atomics - probably due to the steel case I’m guessing. I’ve also got large wrists and it’s comically large and uncomfortable - but I still really like it for some reason! - the new ones with depth gauge and sapphire seem ludicrously expensive, no idea why?!

My favourite one I've come across so far is g shock highfashion. He's very enthusiastic.
Watching his videos also has the benefit of making me feel normal.
How many other reviewers routinely wear two watches at the same time?
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

Don't want to be getting drawn into the previous Froggy price discussion - you gotta see this fellas in person ... it's in another league ... but different strokes for different folks and of course not everyone's cup of tea. But simply enjoy .. here are all 6 GWF-D1000 since July 2016 until November 2017. Impressive what Casio has done. The latest in the middle. The 35 Anniversary! A real belter. More shots to come ... Thanks guys

No apologies necessary. It's just not a g shock. There is a massive difference in build quality ime between the normal casios that look like g shocks and the g shock line itself
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

Bit strange that Casio are building their own lookalikes though.
It's just a matter of time...

    They've done it for ages
They are different quality products at a different price point
    Loads of companies do this
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

I’ve just never noticed before. Or maybe Ivecassumed certain other models were G’s.

Ill stick with mostly the 5000’s series square shape that I like :)
