    Attempted TZ identity theft?

    Has anybody else had this kind of message?

    Someone has tried to log into your account on TZ-UK Forums with an incorrect password at least 5 times. This person has been prevented from attempting to login to your account for the next 15 minutes.

    The person trying to log into your account had the following IP address: 212.92.23.7

    Sounds very worrying to me.
    Anyone know anything about IP addresses? Any advice?

    Multiple notifications started this morning for me too but after reading this thread yesterday I changed my password to a stronger one.
    Interesting to note that they happened each time I received a pm

    i had a chinese IP warining yesterday, thought it was part of the initiation for hitting the 50 and getting into SC.

    if that's what you get for 50 I can't wait for 250!

    All the different locations but very frequent attacks would suggest someone is just hiding there IP address

    disgruntled banned member or con artist ? or has part of forum been compromised ?

    Thanks, never thought of a ex-member, was stuck trying to think of any advantages of forum access via illicit means..I mean it's not as if your going to be able to glean passwords to emails, paypal etc..
