I'm actually trying to get my hands on the blue dialed version of the Explorer II.
Its currently no. 1 on the wishlist.
Hope you don't have to wait too long before you can wear yours.

I'd be interested to hear how you get on the the Explorer 2, quite tempted myself. Only thing I can't quite figure out is the difference between the blue and the black, they look pretty similar to me.

Would be interested to see photos on this when it arrives! If you don't mind me asking, where did you purchase online?

What colour combo did you go for? I am waiting to see pics of a black dial/blue bezel EXII.

I'll look forward to your pics, thanks. I hope the colour combo works as I'm ready to pull the trigger. Blue or yellow graphics?
They do look almost too good to be true for the price, we shall see.

I went for the blasted finish, black dial and bezel, yellow font. Quite traditional, I suppose.

The watch was briefly here, but no-one else was, so back to the depot it went.

Should have my hands on it tomorrow...

    Pics and words will follow!

YEEES! The Ex II has landed!!

    Very impressive case...

Lots of cool kit in here- blue rubber strap, buckle, screwdriver. Oh yes, and a watch.

    Oh yes, that's nice!

    I like the caseback too.

    Wrist shot (7.5")

    Lume:

Overall impression is very good, I would certainly put it up there with the likes of Steinhart. The blasted finish is even and really suits the watch. The case is nicely shaped, although the edges are quite sharp. The bezel is easy to turn, 120 click and as a nice positive action without being stiff. It lines up exactly, too. The dial almost looks very dark brown in certain lights, and has feint horizontal lines that catch the light. Looks great. Hands are handsome, and lume is pretty great!

The lumpy bracelet is the most solid I've encountered outside my old Fortis B42, and feels almost industrial. Screws hold the links together, and also attach the bracelet to the watch. The two-button clasp is a tad small (only 3 micro adjusters), but is forged not pressed steel, and has a nice action. Signed, too. As is the crown.

The sapphire is AR coated and domed, but this doesn't cause awkward reflections as the dome is subtle.

The Miyota 9105 movement ticks away nicely, and is so hi-beat that the second hand looks almost smooth!

Overall, I am very impressed. The OM bats well above its price.

Wears at about its size, 42mm (ie not big or small). Bang on for my 7.5" wrist. Will fit under a cuff!

Given the cost ($280 inc postage), I am very hard pushed to think of a watch that delivers this level of quality for the price. Communication with Justin has been excellent too.

Looks incredible value for money! Somewhere regretting not pre-ordering one now. There's certainly a dash of jealousy! Well may you wear

I really like the look of that, sounds like great value too. It's just a bit too large for me.

Mine has arrived today and i have to say that overall im impressed.

It appears to be well made and feels solid to hold and move the bezel. The bracelet is a little rough in between the links and if im honest it should have 22mm lugs rather than 20mm. The included rubber looks to be a decent quality if a little crudely cut but i love it.

A lot of care and detail has gone into the watch and kit it comes with but you can see where savings have been made to offer it at the price they do. I would say that if your thinking about getting one then do it, for the money its spot on if you want something different

    Little Q&D picture

Conversation with my wife last night over the phone

Me: did a package from Hong Kong arrive today?
Her: Yes, is that the watch you bought for your christmas/birthday?
    Me: uhm, maybe
Her: right i'll just wrap it and you can open it on the 20th.

    Bollocks.

I agree where the lug width is concerned, but it helps to have some nice "fat" lugs on this watch. I can live with it.

I might have accidentally bought a Steinhart from a member on SC that will be waiting when I get home on the 11th. That should keep me satisfied!

Should be ok, on the FedEx shipping invoice I believe they declared a value of $90 USD. For stuff like that I very rarely get an invoice.

Mine arrived too, first impressions were very good. I love the colour, midnight blue bezel that lightens in the right light. However the clasp on the bracelet started popping open.

Emailed Justin, received massive apologies and the promise of a new, tested clasp in the post.

Shame there was a problem in the first place but that seems like excellent customer service.
