What is Bonds sub worth now

Just watching the Man with the Golden gun, I likeJames Bond films on a Sunday afternoon, I was wondering what his pre 1974 Submariner would be worth now.

Pretty sure they sold a Bond Sub prop via auction.... I vaguely remember it not even having a movement fitted, and sold for 10k a fair few years ago.

But I could of dreamt that. :)

Caught that scene myself earlier. There was alot of product placement going on!
(Nikon ad in the background, didn't see what the TVs Bond & Nick-Nack were admiring themselves were)

Yeah. Lots of product placement in that scene. The TVs were Sony.

They are always Sony, in every Bond film IIRC. Even his Aston's in the 60's had Sony radios and TV screens. The Nikon placement wasn't exactly subtle in this film! I recall that Casino Royale came in for a lot of criticism due to all the electrical items being Sony (phones, laptop etc)

That ruined Casino Royale a bit for me. The part when they are on the boat in venice and she takes a photo with her Sony camera whilst he is on his Sony laptop is laughable. As for the Bond Sub, don't really know but I'm guessing north of £50K?

Apparently Bond will be using a Sony Xperia phone (again) in SPECTRE.

The most cringe worthy line in any Bond movie is,,,,,,,Nice watch Rolex, Omega,
Some executive in the Omega marketing dept must have gone through a box of tissues when that first hit the screen.

And all that Rolex / Omega 'gag' from the product placement to be pronounced incorrectly 'Omeega' really?

Anyone have a guess at Scaramangas golden watch

A far more interesting character minus the red sideburns in my eyes

    I think it's a Rolex King Midas
And the cigarette case, lighter, pen = gun was made by Colibri of London

One subtle bit of product placement was right at the start of the film; when nik-nak brings Scaramanga and his assistant some drinks on the beach. The champagne is for her and unbranded; Scaramanga is clearly pouring himself a bottle of Guinness and the label is turned towards the camera.

For one of the Roger Moore Bond films, I think Phillips managed to oust Sony for the electrical items (maybe the one he wore a Seiko in?).

    Colibri make watches too!

For men with "easy smiles and expensive wristwatches", I seem to remember.
