Back into watches after a few years.

    Hello everyone,

After a good few years away from watches I have started to buy again, could regret this!
Having had a range of watches throughout the years I decided to buy watches that would suit different occasions and I am always on the look out for more.

Anyway, here are some quick pics of my small collection and I hope you enjoy...

Here we have the Tissot Heritage Navigator, Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra and Victorinox Inox.
Please excuse the photos as they are from the ipad.

    Gregg

Wow, with 24 posts since 2009 you really have been away! Welcome back to the asylum

I love the watches you have, they show you have excellent taste. I've always loved this version of the AT, the Inox is a great watch and that Tissot.......it speaks for itself.

A nice collection there, bit different from the norm.

Is being back on here the equivalent of falling off the wagon...?

A welcome change from the usual frantic dash to 50 posts!

And yes I am aware of a certain irony in that this may be seen as me inching towards the magic 50 ( is the genome sequencer stiil available by the way?)

It sure has been a while and I would certainly say being back is like falling off the bandwagon. I spent far too much on watches when I was younger, inherited a good sum and spent most of it on watches, IWC, Panerai, Rolex etci instead of sensible things haha.
Now being a little older, although only 25, a look through old photos has brought me back to watches but I would like to think I'm a little more sensible now, maybe!

I was looking at the Victornox earlier this week.

Its a nice looking watch and appears to be as sturdy as a G Shock.

What it's like to wear with the extra guard on top?

Does it make the watch look to big and is it practical to wear on a daily basis with it?

I haven't actually worn the watch with the extra guard on it yet, haven't even considered wearing it. I have worn the watch on and off since I bought it and have done some rock climbing with it and it still looks brand new, even after a good few hits. It really is as strong as they say but it is a big watch, using the guard on a daily basis maybe too bulky but also might be overkill as well.

    Thank you for the info.

I would love to watch the video of the 64 tonne tank driving over the watch :))
