    New member tuning in

Hey everyone, new to the forum here. I've been looking at watches for the past three to four months now trying to decide what to get for my first watch. I happened to stumble across a Maurice Lacroix Jours Retrograde for a good price and decided to go with it. Joined the forum to increase my knowledge about watches in preparation for my second watch purchase (hopefully, still in college...). Anyways, I am looking forward to getting to know the forum and the members.

I'm in between getting a World Timer, perhaps the Longines or Maurice Lacroix, or a vintage 18k Girrard Perregaux for a dress watch.

Welcome to the forum . I'm really taken with your Maurice Lacroix with the possible exception of the skeleton bit underneath the Day indicator. The sunrise effect I find to be art-deco in style and I quite like the execution of the big date. ML is a manufacture that I struggle with; probably because they cover quite a bit of the price spectrum and they do have a reputation for chronic depreciation. I understand that yours is nearer the top end of the range; is that right? Since you've managed to figure out the picture thing can you post some more - including a wrist shot?

Heloo, sorry for the late response, I've been out of the country.
Being one of the more pricey Maurice LaCroix's, it does not have an in-house movement. It has a modified eta with the retrograde function put in by ML, the finishing is very nice as well. Here are a few more pictures.
