    A very special Christmas present

I've just come back from my favourite AD after having been bought a very special present.

I only went to take my Breitling Emergency in as it needed a service, but came out with a present from my parents who came with me.

Now I know this watch is one that has divided opinions, but it is one that I wanted as soon as I saw it.

The Bremont Wright Flyer in Rose Gold number 007/100

    With my MBII

To say I'm happy with this would be an understatement!

The quality really is excellent & if you get chance to see one, I'd recommend it.

    Dan

    Very classy indeed.

It's going to be hard to top that present this Christmas, I'd wager...

That Bob knows how to sell doesnt he ;-)

That's lovely - I could imagine a WWII Spitfire pilot wearing something like that!

And I am sure it'll be a keeper being a parental gift - that makes it all the more special.

    Great post Dan! Merry Christmas!

    Fabulous.
I don't suppose your parents are looking to adopt a balding , mostly housetrained middle aged man in the near future are they?

Brilliant, and what a lovely gift from your parents!
I know the feeling of getting my Aerospace from my parents when all I did was pop into a local AD.
That presentation box is just superb also, enjoy👍

Thanks for the kind words guys.

I'm sat here looking at it, still in shock that I've had something so nice bought for me.

Wow, that is some present! I didn't think I would like it when it was announced, too shiny for a Bremont. However, once I tried on the steel model at my local AD I was really impressed.

    Enjoy!

People give Bremont a lot of stick (as did I with the launch of this watch) but they really do make a beautiful watch.

Massive congrats, even if it isn't in house it is very special!

    Wow! That's a 28k watch!

What a present. You have very generous parents indeed.

Sadly, I don't expect we'll ever see it on SC.

Wow, a £28k present totally unplanned.

Not what I'd pick for that money but congrats.

My Mam dropped my present off yesterday.

    Socks.

Unwrapped - very thoughtful - that's saved me a job right there...

What a wonderful gift, you must be chuffed to bits.
The white dial suits the case material and I much prefer this over the black dialled version.
Enjoy and have a great Christmas.

It's not the price, it's the thought of getting this from your parents that makes it a special piece.

    Congrats anyway,

    Daddel.

As many have said, it is the gesture that counts. I think it says a lot when family or people you care about can go to the obvious lengths of appreciating your interest in a particular hobby to the point that they can pick out somethign so special from an ocean of available gifts. Wonderful gesture and it looks great.

    Lovely

That really is very nice. I'm a fan of white dialled watches so its kind of a given I would like this, but I particularly like the handset and the font for the numbers. I bet it looks just as good in the dark looking at the lume on the hands.

A gift from your parents is special but all the better when its something so lovely.
I hope you enjoy wearing it.
