Hi Guys
Taken the back off a Seiko quartz chrono, movement looks like 7T42-6AOO on caseback, 7T42B on movement itself.
There is a paper instruction glued to the inside of the caseback saying "When fitting new battery, short AC and +ve of the battery".
I see an aperature in the movement marked AC; I take it I get some conductive tool such as a suitable size of metal tweezers and just bridge between the centre of this AC aperature and the +ve on the battery.
Self-explanatory I know, but I just want reassurance that I am correct. It is the first time I have seen such an instruction.
Cheers in advance.
You are correct.

Many thanks. I have lost the self-assurance of youth.
