I googled it there and the closest I could find is:
Rare Vintage Casio G-shock DW-8400 1289 Alarm Chrono Electro Luminescence watch
It has a slightly different digital face but maybe gives you something to work on.
Does anyone know the model of this early Casio- I think it pre dates the G-Shock but not 100% sure? Any idea of approx value and if it is worth doing up?
Thanks in advance.

Looks very much like a DW6900 module without the bezel.
A new bezel and strap from Tiktox and it'll be good as new.

Seems to be module 1597 what is in my G-Shock DW-003 on my wrist. It seems to model with parts missing. What markings on the back?
Look here to something similar but not he same...

I've seen a couple go for about fifty odd quid on eBay. A classic G shock as worn by various armed forces all over the world.....as well as Jack Bauer in 24!!!
looks like a dw6600, missing its case
Yes it's definitely a 6600. I think a standard dw6900 bezel and strap will be a straight swap. Now discontinued, considered a bit of a classic G
