    Pet Portrait Recommendations

Would be grateful for any pet portrait recommendations - thinking of getting a gift voucher for my brother who has a sheep-dog (border-collie?) for Christmas.

    I remember this thread http://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.ph...-dogs-are-done
But also wondering if anyone else had recommendations?
I found this lady too http://katrina-ann.co.uk/

    Thanks

It obviously depends on the style of portrait you want, but I can highly recommend this guy - http://www.notonthehighstreet.com/ad...ndillustration

You're right - type of portrait I would be looking for is lifelike - probably in pencil/graphite. Border Collies are black and white so this makes sense.

Thanks for the link - I'll have a look tonight.

Both need to be popped in the search bar in Facebook.

This is likely exactly what you're after, as its pet focused - Captured in Pencil

We also have a TZ member here - Greg Humphreys Artist - For Hire

We've used Karen Hartnell twice now: http://www.portraitsofpets.co.uk

You can see both of our examples on the site. A dog watercolour portrait, Cocker Spaniel "Hunter", and another dog portrait, this time a charcoal sketch, Border Terrier "Bracken".

    Cannot recommend her highly enough

My friend Sally did this for me for my parent's 50th anniversary:

Thanks for all the suggestions - went with Captured in Pencil in the end as was running out of time and seemed like the best fit for my brother. Hopefully in 6 months or so I can update this thread with the finished result.
