Planned on a Seafire, got an 18q

I needed a quartz as a grab and go, and had followed the Seafire thread from the beginning. I thought the Seafire was the one. But after reading Uke1's review of the 18q (http://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.ph...ughts-and-pics) and looking at my other watches, I thought I'd add a diver rather than the Seafire. Thus, when Eddie reopened last week, I ordered the 18q. The watch made it from Sheffield to Wyoming in 3 days. Impressive, as I live in a rural area. Here is a photo from a walk this morning near my home. As Uke1 has provided an excellent review, I'll just add that I'm very pleased and it really is a great piece. 7" wrist for reference.

I have both the seafire and 18Q and would say you made the right choice. Whilst I like the seafire a lot the 18Q is a fantastic watch and I can not see me evere moving it on. you can always add a seafire at a later date.

    Enjoy the 18Q.

It really is a superb review, and the 18Q deserves such a write up.

It was partly because of the reviews on Watcharama that got me into Eddie's watches, and lok forward to owning more in the future :-)

    Cool

    Well Done,

Had mine for several months now & still a regular wear.

Excellent choice! I bought mine from Eddie in 2007, and it is still part of the regular rotation.

Stirling Lines? I went to school with his sister.

(Seriously, the SAS base in Herefordshire? Very cool.)

I wonder if he'll use his 18q grab and go, for a trip down to Waitrose like I do - just in case he bashes it on the shelf picking out some carrots?!! Or something more exotic?!

Well done Eddie… it again shows you the quality of your products is second to none.

Did the strap match the colour of the boathouse in Hereford?

Does this mean I need to hurry and get mine before the price goes through the roof for it being an "issued piece" ? :)

I went on a walk this afternoon with my dogs and the light was great for photos. So, posting to my own thread, but thought this might be the only 18q in this part of the world!
