I'd like to know this too, legal of course.
Assuming this can be done legally??? i'd like to download some old music and burn it to a CD or two. I have no previous experience so assuming i can do this without infringement, where and how would be good to know, please

YouTube, using a specific downloader which then creates an mp3 from the music video.
Most of the sites you can download legally from tend towards the high res. end of the market...
HDTracks
HighRes
Qobuz
and, of course, charge for the music.
Seems to be a real problem these days. The powers that be have clamped down on the old sharing sites. I had a few tracks that I couldn't find anywhere so eventually got them off Limewire which has now gone. Maybe if you just ask around forums you may find someone who has tracks you are looking for and are willing to share them with you.
Oh and free movies as well, all above board obviously
Jesus
for LEGAL old tracks id advise buying them on ebay for a few quid a cd if you dont use any music streaming sites such as spotify or programs such as itunes
for free illegal knock off nigel tracks, dvds, programs etc there are a million and one sources but im sure you can find those without any help
personally i've moved to using premium spotify at moment and im pretty impressed with it much better than itunes IMO

Yep... good advice. I'm constantly buying second hand CDs from Amazon. Typically they're costing me £2-3 inc. P&P though the last one was £1.69!! That's 69p for the CD and a quid for the post!
I've got a stack on the corner of my desk of the ones I've purchased in the last 12 months... there must be fifty or sixty. All second cheap ones. Once they're ripped who cares that the case is tatty?
Take a look here. Legal? I don't know. But I get all my Northern & Mecca tracks off it. Maybe they're out of copyright.
